Who (If any) was the last OSU QB to beat Michigan 3 times in a row
I did some research, and there hasn't been one in the past 70 years. But, Hasn't OSU and Michigan been playing for 100 years? Did they not keep stats until 70 years ago?
I am asking the buckeye faithful and knowed for any info on this. Thanks so much. Moose ![]() |

VG,
Tap your resources also, and see if Joe Sparma did it. OSU won 4 in a row from 1960 to 1963. You Da man!! |

can't say who started each game, but from what i have here. . . .
1960 tom matte 1961 joe sparma did hook up for an 80yd TD pass but john mummey and bill mrukowski all played qb that year 1962 same three qb's; only thing i have is a picture of mrukowski playing qb that game 1963 no clue who started but don unverferth threw a 35yd TD to warfield at the end of the first half; tom barrington also played some qb that year; i think sparma was gone i can't say if sparma starded any of the michigan games from what i have, but he certainly was in the mix in 61 and 62, and maybe 60. |

The very first time OSU beat U of M three times in a row was in 1919,1920 and 1921. I can't find a roster in those years. See what you can do. This is almost making my brain hurt.

As a freshman in 1960, he would not have been eligible. |

1919 - pete stinchcomb was the qb; first year we ever beat michigan; chic harley picked off 4 of michigan's 18 passes, punted 11 times for 462 yards, kicked two extra points, and had one long touchdown
1920 - harry workman played qb as osu won on homecoming 14 - 7 1921 - noel workman (harry's brother) was qb (though he shared time with richard cott); osu beat michigan 14 - 0 for their homecoming game that year; oberlin did beat the buckeyes that year and is still the last ohio team to beat the buckeyes |
