That is a very impressive list of important contributors on the football team, especially given the variety of challenging majors among them.

Twenty-six members of the Buckeyes' football team, including nine starters (Browning, Chekwa, Cordle, Denlinger, Freeman, Hartline, Laurinaitis, Robiskie, and Wells) made Academic All Big Ten.
Only nine members of the Harvard of the Midwest's football team, including just one starter (Will Johnson), made the squad. Oh, and Ohio State went 10-2 with a BCS bowl game to come, and Michigan went 3-9 (and lost to tOSU by five touchdowns) with a bunch of future kinesiologists. I wonder how they're spinning that in Ann Arbor.... |

[scUMfan]Hell, anyone can make a 3.0 GPA at a [censored] school like Ohio State. Let's see them do that at the Harvard of the Midwest.[/scUMfan]

After Winter Quarter of 2009, per JT's recent press conference:
47 football players were 3.0 or better for the quarter. 52 football players now have a CPA accum of 3.0 or better. The team GPA is now 2.96. Well done, guys. |

The Hampshire Honor Society is for football players with a GPA of 3.2 or better. Ohio State had the most football players (8) of any FBS school.

Let's just leave this as a sticky for a little while. This is a great accomplishment.
Well done to the eight players recognized and to the 52 players with a 3.0 accumulated GPA or higher! |
