I didn't see him play at all, which was a surprise to me. Maybe I missed a series, but I was looking for him. Larimore and Worthington played most of the game, though I did see Denlinger and Wilson play some (seemed like LW was at DT not DE but could be wrong) and Heyward slid inside on occasion.

Expect Heacock to use a steady rotation of players on the line this week, one that should go as deep as John Simon and Garrett Goebel at defensive tackle and could include either Solomon Thomas or Keith Wells at end.
Out of the four, Simon would figure to have the best chance to play in this game.

Outside of Jordan Hall, Simon has to be the biggest surprise. DT's don't play here as true frosh.

Most incoming DTs also lack the ability to benchpress one Rosie O'Donnell, let alone two. He's got the physical ability, and it sounds as though he's putting in a lot of work to get the mental aspects down.

He was destroying their OL and is only a freshmen. When some of the younger guys get more pt The Dline will only get better. We have a few freshmen that will be freshmen AA's IMO.

i seen him on more than one play pushing the ol back getting good pressure i liked what i seen out of him he will be a stud

I have to re-watch the game when my stomach can handle it and see how he did. The whole D-line played their asses off last night and will lead the way on this team the rest of the season.

I knew it had to be someone that is redshirting because the others won't get enough PT this year.

One play in particular for John stood out to me last night. He got great penetration into the backfield and made a tackle for a 2-yard loss, even as he was being tackled from behind (at the knees) by a USC offensive lineman.

Simon played a heck of a game in there and you know the coaches have to be confident in him...he was in the entire time on the final two drives I believe.
