LSU and USC could possibly have a better WR core than OSU but if im unbiased i still take OSU regardless because while we may not have absurd talent and speed, we do have very strong points and endless depth. hall as a big wideout, ginn as a fast wideout, gonzo in the cluth, robo with good size gets open, hartline with great hands, small is a speedster, and even backups like dukes are very good. USC and LSU might have some better and more rounded WRs like davis, bowe, smith, jarret, turner(all outstanding WRs) but they dont have a lot of depth on the charts but their WRs are very versatile so i could only say LSU and USC have a worthy claim of a better WR core.

I think Michigan has the best receiving corps in the BCS. To me it comes down to the fact that Michigan's got three receivers that can make plays on their own (Manningham, Arrington, Breaston) while OSU has two. Hartline and Robiskie are decent but like Michigan's Greg Mathews and Doug Dutch, they need for the defense to be concentrating on the stars in order to be effective.
As for USC....I guess you could kinda maybe, if you held them up to the light just right and squinted, like a Magic Eye poster, sorta see how Jarrett/Smith miiiiiight be considered better than Gonzalez/Ginn. On a really good day. When JD Booty isn't being pressured too bad. And if the opponent isn't UCLA.
But Florida???? That was Holtz who said that, right? Puff puff on the crack pipe. Someone needs to take his keys, cut him off from the free bar, and maybe get him a taxi. No more Kool-Aid for that man. I can understand that they probably wanted to keep things interesting by having all three of them say a different team, but OSU is at the very least in the top 3. I'd rate it Michigan, OSU, USC.

michigan is solid but i wouldnt say they are in the elite group. ginn is way better than breaston since they are comparable in characteristics yet ginn has superior stats and play, manningham is very good but i wouldnt put him at the talent level of jarret yet. arrington is just kinda solid and nothing too spectacular. gets the job done though i suppose. michigan would be a top 5 in WR cores but not in my top 3.
florida has some good WRs in harvin, baker, and caldwell. harvin is VERY good, so much so that i make him the X factor in the championship game. baker is big but in my opinion doesnt really impress me a whole bunch in bigger games. caldwell is a very reliable WR and has a good NFL future ahead of him. harvin is superior to all of them though. he has outstanding speed, versatility, and vision. impressed me and that takes alot.

I would put scUM's WR's fourth, at best. Definitely behind USC, UF, tOSU.

I believe we had this shootout last month. Ohio State receiving corps ran away with it. If you think our 2-deep receivers can't handle it on their own -- I'll refer you to the play where Robiskie made a joke out of Morgan Trent, your #2 corner.
Like others have already said, I don't think Michigan's receiving corps is even top-3. They are good, but only 1 real gamebreaker, a legit threat (Arrington), and a guy who contributes a little (Breaston) on the side but rarely doesn't do anything to change the course of a game. The rest of your receivers haven't done anything worth mentioning yet.
If you want, we can compare stats. I've done it before. We have more receivers with "x" amount of receptions and TDs than Michigan. As does USC. I think us and USC have the best -- far and away. And I'd put Florida at distant 3rd with Michigan 4th.
USC and Ohio State both have 2 game-breakers, and a couple of up-and-coming star receivers. Gonzalez, Ginn, Robiskie, Hall, Hartline, and Nicol have all been very involved. USC has Smith, Jarrett, Turner, McFoy, and Davis. I think we take the edge over USC on depth and consistency - but I wouldn't rip anyone who put USC's receiving corps on top.
