The biggest problem with that play is that they should have run it to the left on third down. If you don't get it there you punt. Troy fell down on the sneak without any push, which caused the 4th down. IMO if you need a yard run CWells up the backs of the road graters on the left side of the line. If Tebow can get 3-4 yards on every carry we should be able to get a yard.

Oh, no doubt it was questionable but at some point in a butt-kicking like that you have to take a chance a stopping the other teams momentum, the only problem was you take the chance of giving it right back to them.
Again, I see both arguments but felt it was the right call at the time.

just like the opening kick return had no impact on the game, the failed fourth down attempt had no impact either. the most damaging play of the game was having the ball knocked from troy's hand at the end of the first half... or teddy's injury that, according to him, occurred while celebrating in the endzone after his return.

I've tried to forget about as much of last night as I can but I believe Tress said he went for it on 4th to let his guys know he had confidence in them and wanted to get them going. The 3rd down call was awful. Not being able to get a yard on 4th down was just symbolic of the whole night.

Definitely...he found a solid rhythm and we did nothing to change that.

I disagree. I think the sack/fumble did that because at that point we had 2 minutes, three timeouts and plenty of time to score 7 points.

Either way, Tressel was outcoached, Troy was outplayed at QB and our defense was wide open in the middle any time the Gators wanted 5-15 yards. Just an old fashioned beat-down. So sad right now.
