I think we need to have a conference championship game (of course we need another team) may be West Virginia would be a good fit in the Big 10.....IMHO....

Agreed. Missouri would be a better choice with everything taken into account. Not sure if that would solve a football problem.

Bingo! Remember that when ND was extended an invite to join the Big Ten, the vote to extend an invitation was relatively close due to the fact that ND has a pathetic graduate school and some Big Ten university presidents didn't want that to affect the overall academic strength of the Big Ten.
Missouri has consistently been mentioned as the most logical choice. |

At the risk of opening up this can of worms for the umpteenth time, why? This year was the perfect example of why not to have a conference title game. We were the only undefeated team in the conference and had just beaten the team we would have ended up playing in the title game. Seeing as we--as the #1 "seed"--would have home field advantage, we would have had to played Michigan the follow week on the very same field we just beat them. Now how stupid is that?
