All-Time Football Weight Lifting Records
Anyone know where I can find a list of the all-time weight lifting records for the football team by position? I know this info was on the weight room wall the last time I was in there a few years back. Can it be found online anywhere or anyone have the list and can PM me? Thanks!

I'm looking for the top performers by position, like maybe the Top 5 for each position.

They don't do it by position. There are only three categories. Big, Big Speed, and Speed. I know that someone (jwinslow probably) has the pictures of the boards, with these on them, somewhere. I just can't find the thread.

Thanks guys....I appreciate the help.
I guess they have changed the format since the last time I was in the weight room. They used to have pictures of the top performers on the wall--I thought it was by position, but I may be wrong. |

Speaking of weight lifting records, has anyone heard lately what Kudla is doing? The last I heard was when Pittsburgh released him because of an injury. He has quite a bit of talent and good speed and obvious strength, just surprised he does not catch on somewhere else? I was [censored]ed when the Browns did not take him with a late pick last draft. The dude was Diesel and a hell of a ballplayer!!

SIMV's photos may predate new figures, coming from April 2005. Guess we will have to go to Stadium and look for the updated Speed board in Spring.

Ginn, a high school national champion in the 110 high hurdles, was clocked in an obscenely fast 4.06 for the 40-yard dash during spring practice.
Source: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/st...p-409271c.html Frankly though, I don't believe that for a second. The fastest recorded 40-yard start to a 100m olympic sprint is in the range of 4.35-4.38--including reaction time to the starting gun. Football 40-yard dashes are timed from the moment a player begins running, so by subtracting a typical sprinter's reaction time from the olympian 40-yard dash, you're left with a 4.10-4.20 for the absolute best sprinters in the world. If a football player is ever listed with a 40-time of under 4.3 you should be skeptical, and if it's anything under 4.25 you should likely disregard it. If Maurice Green can only get a 4.2 on track spikes, then I really doubt that Ginn or any other football player is going to clock at under 4.3 Last edited by milkman21; 01-13-2007 at 12:15 PM. |
