Datish: Flab around the middle and underdeveloped chest
Patterson: Sloppy and soft
Pitcock: Thick all around
Smith: Solid Build

Burgess: Solid all around
Hall: Thin but well developed
Woodley: Thick arms but soft body

Brutal is putting it kindly. I always knew the Senior Bowl was Big Time, but some of these comments seem over the top to me. Oh well, isn't my job so I guess I can't criticize. Was happy as hell to see Troy hit "the magic 6."

After Ohio St. QB Troy Smith measured in at 6 feet even in Mobile Monday morning, there was a collective chatter in the room. Many scouts were wondering if he would measure in shorter than that, which was the early speculation. Smith will have to have a solid week of practices to solidify a selection on the first day of this year’s NFL draft.

Possible 1st Round to possible 2nd day?? What the hell?

Neither the South nor North teams were spared derisive and cutting comments, though many players were praised.

Is it bad when the punter (Daniel Sepulveda) is referred to as "Cut and in good shape" and a defensive end (Quentin Moses) is "Flat-chested and soft"? If you are gonna get beat up by a punter, that means "seventh-round pick", right?

Troy Smith won the Heisman Trophy but now will have to impress the scouts at the Senior Bowl. There's a whole week to go, but after one practice from a mechanical point of view, Stanton was the most impressive. He has the size and mechanics to pass the eyeball test. Smith looked like an athlete who easily jumped out at me during the bootleg drill. As Gruden said, "Smith is an exciting prospect that can create with his athleticism."

They are brutal but I guess that's their job. I WONDER what their analysis and comments would be on themselves? There's a reason they are doing the evaluating and NOT something else. I think a lot of them "give themselves a boost" in the ego department by cutting down guys that could run circles around them and throw them all over the weight room!
