tOSU vs. USC 08 & 09 series
Now that signing day has passed and life ceases to have meaning until Spring ball, I figured it is a good time to get some talk going on this upcoming series.

I'll take an early stab at what SC's lineup may look like 19 months from now (minus recruits we'll get in 2008). Players who would be eligible to go pro before then will be marked with an asterisk. Predicted 2007 starters are listed in bold. I won't do it for the RBs because that is just too hard at this point.
QB: Mark Sanchez*, Aaron Corp, Garrett Green FB: Stanley Havili, Michael Coleman*, Jordan Campbell (or LB) Big RB: Broderick Green, Marc Tyler (or LB), Allen Bradford (or LB) Small RB: Joe McKnight, Stafon Johnson (or D), Emmanuel Moody Split End: Patrick Turner*, David Ausberry, Ronald Johnson, Jamere Holland Flanker: Vidal Hazelton, Damian Williams, Travon Patterson, Brandon Carswell TE: Anthony McCoy, Gerald Washington* (or DE), Rhett Ellison LT: Charles Brown, Martin Coleman LG: Jeff Byers* (or C), Nick Howell* (or C) C: Kris O'Dowd, Nick Howell RG: Chilo Rachal*, Zach Heberer RT: Butch Lewis, Thomas Herring DE: Kyle Moore*, Michael Reardon, Gerald Washington DT: Fili Moala*, Derek Simmons, Christian Tupuo NT: Averell Spicer*, Da'John Harris, Trey Henderson DE: Everson Griffin, Alex Parsons WLB: Kaluka Maiva*, Michael Morgan, Josh Tatum, Malcolm Smith MLB: Rey Maualuga*, Chris Galippo, Luthur Brown* SLB: Brian Cushing*, Clay Matthews Jr. CB: Cary Harris*, Mozique McCurtis*, Vincent Joseph CB: Kevin Thomas*, Shareece Wright, CJ Gable (or RB) FS: Taylor Mays, Marshall Jones, Garrett Green (or QB) SS: Kevin Ellison*, Will Harris*, Alfred Rowe, David Buehler* Wildcard: Josh Pinkard* could start at CB or S K: Jordan Congdon, David Buehler P: Greg Woidneck* Kickoff specialist: David Buehler* Strengths: Defense, skill positions Weaknesses: Inexperience at QB, depth on the lines, early NFL departures Last edited by methomps; 02-10-2007 at 12:59 AM. |

I am not worried in that I think it is probable that we will lose, I am worried in the fact that they get so much [censored]ing talent, they are always dangerous.

One major issue for OSU is depth at OL, especially OT.
In 2008, OSU will only have 5 OL left from the 07 roster. OSU is in good shape with a number of elite '08 prospects, but handling USC as a frosh is quite a tall order. |

I didn't expect your defense to have as good of a year, but under Tressel, I have learned to expect reloading.
You should have a couple of kids from my high school on your team. (I don't know how this is relevant but I decided to share it with everyone anyways.) |

If it's anywhere near as good as the Texas series, we're in for a treat.

We better bring our "A" game to LA or we'll be lokin' at 50-60 scored on us!
I kid you not! Sanchez won't be a weak link. |

Russell, Clifford, Washington, Amos & Coleman is a pretty talented secondary. I agree O'Neal will lose the safety job, but I think he'd have even more trouble at corner.

100% agree.
