The only two factors I would think Michigan would have in their favor would be one of Garrett's teammates is going there this year(Dave Molk from last year), and that Michigan is probably closer to Garrett's home. However, I haven't read anything indicating that Garrett and Molk are close, and distance never really seemed to be that much of an issue with Garrett from the beginning. The Depth Chart and the amount of attention paid to him by the coaches should easily favor Ohio State. Add in the fact that it seems like we've been in the lead forever(though ND fans like to think he'd be theirs if they didn't get other linemen first...). I think we'll have Garrett wrapped up by the time The Simpsons movie premiers.

Just found out Dave Molk graduated from Lemont High School in Illinois, not Montini Catholic where Garrett attends.

In a $BSB article on Willie Mobley, Mobley said Garrett keeps trying to get Mobley to commit to OSU before Garrett does.

Yeah, you got the schools mixed up.

Lemont = Aaron Nagel, Brett Nagel, Graham Pocic, Dave Molk.

And a few other kids who are getting D1 attention.

That comment makes little sense to me. Maybe Mobley was trying to say that Garrett just wants Mobley to verbal to Ohio State(so they can play together presumably). The before him part makes no sense to me.

Maybe he wants Mobley to lock up a spot...and he knows that he has one for himself regardless.

I took it as his way of putting a little "pressure" on Mobley to commit, nothing more.

I didn't take the comment as being negative for us at all. In fact, I think it's just two recruits joking together about where to go and when to commit, and since both are highly interested in tOSU, Goebel was just doing his part to see if Mobley would commit to us... as it seems he wants to himself. If anything I think the quote more represents Garrett's efforts to join the Brew Crew in helping to recruit for us.
