LightningRod: My dad was from Struthers, and my grandmother lived there up until the '80s. There's a small paint shop that's only a couple blocks from the high school and that big church (Phelan's or something like that?). Her house was directly across the street from it. I graduated from Fitch in '75, so we're not that far apart, age-wise.

I was born in Ashland and grew up in Jeromesville, Oh. Still live nearby. My earliest memory of Buckeye game was the famous goal line stand against Dennis Franklin.
My dad was an avid Buckeye fan and the ONLY time I ever heard him swear was during OSU vs. Michigan games. Because of that fact alone I knew from an early age that this OSU vs. scUM thing must be pretty darn important.
Go Bucks! We'll be back in '04!!

Born in Chicago in 1986 and moved to Columbus at the age of five. My dad had gotten a job at Ohio State University and because of that recieved many tickets for games. Not as experienced as many of you guy, but still know alot about the bucks. I ve been to around 20 home games and have never seen the buckeyes lose in the shoe when i have gone. Been to 2 michigan games that were both won by the good guys. My first game was againt rice where we throttled them by something like 70-7. And ever since that game i was hooked. Best game I remember going to was 1998 vs michigan because it was my first osu mich game and a totally new experience for me. Its great to be a buckeye fan.

Raised in Springboro, OH. Moved from essentially there to Dayton, to West Carrollton, then Columbus, then to Cincinnati. Moved here because of my son who is now 5 and running around crazily as I type this. I don't really have a first Buckeye sports hero but my first sports hero was Nolan Ryan and Bo Jackson. Those guys rocked the late 80's early 90's. Sometime ask me about what happened with Andy Katzenmoyer.

Well I won't be long winded, mainly because I don't have much to tell. I am now 22 and in my last year of college at YSU (yes the YSU ). I was born and still reside in Hubbard, Ohio, but plan to move closer to Columbus shortly after graduation. My brother got me started into the Buckeyes, he would always watch them on saturdays so he go tme hooked. Favorite Buckeye is David Boston, he was always larger than life to me. No dogs as of now, but a few snakes. No wife yet, but a girlfriend of 5 years so I'm sure that will be eventual.

Like Hubbard I will keep it brief. I was born in Nantucket Massachusetts (Yes, I'm the man from Nantucket ) and moved to Ohio when I was 2. I moved back to Nantucket after my parents got divorced when I was 9. My father was always a Buckeye fan and even when I lived in Massachusetts I always followed the Buckeyes and rooted for them on TV. I came back to Ohio to go to college and I've lived here ever since. My father and I have been long suffering sports fans and have never been able to root for a team that won a championship in my lifetime. The Buckeyes changed all that last January. Go Bucks!

Briefly. Born and raised in Germantown, Ohio. Currently reside in Miamisburg, Ohio.
Buckeye fan since the seventies when my dad's brother and sister attended OSU.
Been married to my beautiful wife 16 years, 2 daughters, 1 son.
My 10 year old son has been to 3 games at the shoe with me and is a big fan of the Bucks as well. The wife and daughters are supportive.
Favorite Buckeye is currently A.J. Hawk.
I don't post much ( I only had 230 something posts at Bucknuts in 2 years) but I like reading.
I generally look on the bright side and snicker at the gloom and doom posts that I read on B'nuts.
I'm rambling now.
Go Bucks

36 years old. Raised in Stark County, and like any good American raised in Stark County, instantly gravitated towards the Bucks. Have a basketball connection as I am related to Eldon Miller (and thru marriage Larry Huggins). Saw Spielman play a couple a times when he played at Massilon, and was very happy when he went to Ohio State. Definately my all-time favorite player.
Went to OSU for a long time (actually too long. and finally graduated from Franklin University in Columbus. While in C-bus, I waited tables at the Jai Lai and had the pleasure of having Mrs. Hayes eat at my table.
Kept moving south, as I now live in my wife's hometown of Springboro (for some unkown reason, property values exploded as soon as Diehard left ). We have two young kids who also like the Bucks.
I work in the field of retail investment sales.
As a fan and a person, I wear rose colored glasses. I am normally optimistic about the Buckeye's chances, and about life in general.
Two pet peaves:
Blaming refs
Blaming play calling
Both easy ways out for many fans.
Other than that, just have a lot of fun cheering on MY team.

Born in Louisville as WW2 began, my dad was a mid level exec for Sears Roebuck there. When I was 5 he was offered management of the store in downtown Newark, and we moved there. A couple-three years later he was offered three tickets to a NW game, and we sat in the South Stands. I don't remember much of the game except the backs of guys heads, but I loved the pagentry. Vic Janowicz and Hop Cassady were my Buck heroes in that day.
Nearby to where I lived a big redheaded kid the same age played sports with us kids on the corner vacant lot. He was a head taller than the rest of us, and I remember one day some adult came up to him and said "Jim, someday you'l | |
