Sure, why not, it seems okay to me.

That was actually a bump... I finally told my buddy where to find me over here, and figured there should be something non-paintchip-induced to read.

Well, my story is a bit different...

Coming from Cleveland Heights, my father was a big OSU fan. He was one, however, who would always turn off the TV when OSU would start to go bad. most of the time, it worked... he turned off the TV, they lost. However, back in the '97 Rose Bowl, I went up to his bedroom, turned on the second TV, and managed to get him to watch Germaine's miracle drive. It's also where I first saw the marching band perform.

My love of tOSU goes deep, as I will be recieving my second (MS) degree here this spring. I ahve a passion for nearly all OSU sports- football, men's basketball, hockey, women's volleyball, etc... as long as there's a band performance. I'm a 5-year member of the basketball band, as well as a former member of TBDBITL.

To tell the truth about the family, the finest gift that I ever gave my father was a ticket to the 2004 Michigan game where Troy came out and stomped on those effers from up North. Sure, it was in D-Deck. Sure, he never attended OSU, even though he was always a giant fan in my life. However, that was one of the first OSU games he had made it down to (maybe his 2nd or 3rd), so it was a treat.

My finest memory of my collegiate career, however, will be this past fall... where the OSUMB rushed the field after the end of the Michigan game in Ann Arbor, and played Carmen to the players no less then five feet away. Years and years of childhood agony were absolved in one run on the field in that giant toilet bowl.

If you're ever at a basketball game, I'm probably there. I'm the loud trumpet player playing the solos. I also get a free trip to the men's tournament this year... both Big Ten and NCAA. That will be a blast.

Now that I'm done reminiscing, time to get onto reading more random things...

Like a few on this board, I grew up a Navy brat.

Like OSUSuchiChick I was born in Agana, Guam. Suchi, what years did you live there?

Like Mili I became a Buckeye Fan in 1968 between the ages of 10- 11.

My favorite Buckeye: Archie

My most memorable game: 2002 Fiesta Bowl

I have lived on both coasts but mostly in Calif. Presently I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been in full-time ministry for about the past 25 yrs. Mostly as a pastor but presently I am working as a teacher and consultant to churches. Looking to get back in the pastorate though.

This July I will have been married for 25 yrs. No kids, though Mt. Moriah, our 12 year old Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix would probably take issue with that.

I've never seen the Bucks play in Columbus, but did go to the Bowl game about 10 yrs ago against Fresno St and also the game against UCLA a few years back. I'm a die hard fan and bleed scarletngray. GO BUCKS!

First time I've actually read this - I am a regular lurker, but a sporadic poster. I too am a military kid - born in Riverside CA, lived in Colorado & Texas before landing in the Dayton Ohio area for most of my childhood years. Went to tOSU for Engineering in 1990 - graduated a mere 6 years later. I guess that's when my love for the Buckeyes really began. I had always been a bigger Bengals fan growing up, but since that first game in the shoe (vs. USC - pouring down rain...Coop called the game early), I have been totally hooked. I now reside outside of Cincinnati (after a brief stint in hel....errrr.... MI), and actually follow things much more closely since moving out of C-Bus. In C-Bus, it's all Buckeyes, all the time, but for out of towners, this site is like a lifeline. I have really enjoyed the insight & the "groundedness" this site provides relative to other sites.

REPORTER: As great as everybody loves the tradition of the game being the last game of the year, do you foresee the possibility, with all the changes in college football right now, that eventually the Big Ten might have to go to two divisions and have a championship game?

TRESSEL: Not by Saturday. So, I don't know, I don't give it any thought.

I was at that game. I was in the lower South stands and had to endure a Todd Marijuanavich TD & then him taunting the student section...what an ass. I wish some half-inebriated, less in-control of his emotions than I, student would have jumped on the field and decked him.

Anyway...My name is Patrick. My BP name comes from the Irish form of my name, which is what my uncles have always called me growing up. (yes my family is very Irish and one that is split nearly down the middle for their affections between tOSU & ND. I have several Uncles and Cousins who despise Ohio State...It made this latest Fiesta Bowl win that much more gratifying to me for that reason)

I live in Sidney, OH, which is about a 30 minute drive North of Dayton.

I've been a Buckeye fan all of my 34 years of life partially because I have an Uncle who works in the Athletic Department, but mostly because my Dad has loved the Buckeyes his whole life.

I have a beautiful wife who thinks I'm an obsessed "nut", but is happy that my only real obsession in life is for a sport and a team rather thanstrip clubs, partying, or gambling (though I do enjoy an occasional night out with the boys playing Texas Hold em and a Crown & Coke or two). And I have two kids, a 7 year old boy (who is just starting to put OSU sports close to the same level as Spiderman and Power Rangers, thank God) and a 7 month old girl (who just loves the colors of all "the Red Guys" in Daddy's pictures on the walls).

I went to tOSU for one year before transfering to a smaller school, and was "lucky" enough to work for the Football and Basketball Team's training table when it was held inbetween the Towers (I fed Jimmy Jackson, Mark Baker, Robert Smith, Alonzo Spellman to name a few ). And my older Bro. (who attended for 4 years) was a Manager for the Basketball team from '89 - '92 I think...all adding to my affiliation & love of the Buckeyes.

I now am anxiously awaiting the start of the 2006 Football Season so that I may begin my 4th year of Ushering at the 'Shoe . (and even more anxiously await the 2009 season so that hopefully I can get that bad taste out of my mouth from the last OSU / USC game I experienced so many years ago )
