Technically... it should be 'practice'. I am still out there for now. My fault. Except, that doesn't make sense, either.

not that im ragging on you for grammar.......this one just bugs me because it is used all the time. theres no 'tense' for bias. you are either biased (an adjective) or you show bias (a noun). but you arent bias.

I think that Minnesota is going to be very good. They have an easy schedule and a lot of returning talent. Of the teams that have a new QB Minnesota has the best RB's of those schools. I don’t think that they will win the Big Ten because I think OSU will but I do think they will finish 2nd in the Big Ten. But this could all go out the window if they can't adjust to being a favorite.

Didn't mean to offend you souL - not sure I did - I just don't see PU's D getting the job done with som many youngins in there.
Back on topic - My thinking is the "experts" don't actually think a lot about their picks. They overlook obvious problems - i.e. USC and LSU having new WR's, Michigan having a new QB and RB and then over hype inconsequntial componants of a team (comparative to the things they've ignored) i.e. Michigan's 3 "great" WR's. (Which, by the way, I just don't buy. Edwards is OK and proven. He's dropped sure TD's and I don't think that was cause Navarre had a cannon. Avant has had exactly 1 good game... and it was against Northwestern. Steve Breaston has all the hype, but hasn't really produced at the WR spot. Not that he won't, but he hasn't proven dick.) Anyway.. Michigan could have Jerry Rice, Lynn Swann and Terrell Owens (all in their prime) and it won't make a lick of difference if their QB is Charlie Brown.
I know Herbie does his homework, but I think most guys just figure there are 10 - 20 teams that are good every year. They pick them to be good this year. 2002 was a great example of this

Wonder what all the "experts" will say if Ohio State should end of winning the Big 10? All the tap dancing and excuse making will not eliminate how ignorant they all are. Time will tell.

None taken, heh. I just wanted to answer since it was a valid question . Joe Tiller is arguably the 2nd or 3rd best coach in a league full of GREAT coaches. He's got a lot of good offensive leaders, and they've never had a great defense and have been able to win under him... so we'll see. They're definitely flying under the radar, though.

Minnesota' Schedule:
Toledo (?)
Illinois St. (W)
@ Colorado State (W)
Northwestern (W)
Penn State (W)
@ Michigan (L)
@ Michigan State (W)
Illinois (W)
@ Indiana (W)
@ Wisconsin (?)
Iowa (?)
That is why it is a good pick. They have a shot even at the scUM game. The next best chance for a loss is @ Wisky If they win the games though that I have as (?) right now which IMHO is very doable then Big Ten Champs (maybe Co) isn't that surprising. I think Minnesota finishes in a tie for Second with Iowa. (Ohio State wins)
