Pass Defense
IMO the pass defense is very improved. I was impressed with Fox, Salley, and Youbooty. Youbooty was flat out impressive. This kid is gonna be a star. IMO our DB's are overall better than last years defensive backs. They seemed to be all over the field and broke up many passes(Fox's break-up was spectacular).

IMO Cincy will be a very good team and contend for the Conference USA title. Holding a 4 year starter at QB and a talented WR corps to the modest numbers we did is very impressive for the first game. The improvement of the D-line will only increase the aptitude of the secondary. I give them an "A" for their performance yesterday!!!

conference usa or not, giving up 4 yards/reception is damn impressive.

I just don't know how offensive coordinators are going to attack this defense. spread us out and go 5 wide and we have the db's to blanket you, try and pound it up the middle and we have the backers to take your head off. pick your poison.

I totally agree with the original post. I think UC will contend for the title in their respective leauge. I say this because of all the experience they have and Dantonio will definatly adjust you guys know that. I'm very excited and happy about our defense they played extrodinarily well. They still tended to give up that 5-10 yard out pattern, but I've noticed they play more agressive. Another thing I'm happy is they don't give up much at all to the middle and over top. Which elimantes big plays, and forces the teams to go to the 5-10 yard outs but where can you go besides out of bounds if a team does that? Excellent game for them and if it wasn't for two OSU turnovers this game wouldv'e definatly been a shut out. I was impressed with Youboty's coverage skills. The kid/kids I was most impressed with however where our saftey and imparticular Nate Salley. Great Job by our defense and I'm sure they'll be up for the challenge next week against marshall.
