Minus Seven
that MUST change......
Great kick by Nuge... Hats of to Holmes. Hope Zwick is growing from all this. |

whats more amazing...
1. the kick by Nugent? 2. or the fact we are minus 7 in the turnover department and still 2-0? I say its a tie really..... |

This week he only had 2, albeit poorly timed. That's 2 more than I'd like to see, but he also threw for over 300 yards and for 3 TDs. So despite the fact that we're turning the ball over way the hell too much, it sounds to me like JZ has progressed from Game 1 to Game2. Lydell and Santonio need to protect the ball better as well. For his second game starting (and the first that I've seen), I'm feeling *very* good about that kid. We're a young team, I can't say I'm surprised by the turnovers. As long as they're ironed out by next week. |

Clar - as long as Zwick is learning, I'm sure this is building charecter or whatever. His last pick was a bad bad pass. I dont recall his first one, so I can't comment.... (Brain dead)

All QBs make some bad passes. If Zwick can iron that out and get his decision making near CK's level, then we've got a star in the making. I *really* like Troy Smith, but I was very unhappy to see him come in when he did. The moment we start treating one of our guys like a starter, I think we'll see a marked improvement in their play. Right now, it's extremely difficult to justify that starter being someone other than Justin. But again, I didn't see game 1. Also, I'm not trying to reduce the significance of his INTs. But I don't see them as more significant than our SR tailback fumbling resulting in a TD, or our top WR coughing it up as well. That Justin's came back to back following Santonio's is all that makes them stand out. I think had he had one in the 1st quarter, and another in the 2nd, then to some it wouldn't seem nearly as bad. The bottom line is as a team they need to address turnovers on both sides of the ball. The offense needs to tighten up and protect, the defense needs to create some. Hawk should have had that first pick. 18/30 (60%), 322 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs. I'm not complaining. |

The composure on the last "drive" was outstanding. Didn't go for the HR, quick outs... Very good play.
Heads up on snapping and spiking despite not being set. Althought, I think a flag could have been thrown on Marshall for delay when they sat on Hamby for 5 seconds. |

So very true, Di. Fox out for 5 weeks can't help.

2nd chance U gets some decent athletes.... I wasn't bothered by the running. Spread the field, run in space. Sure the DL must improve, but a TO is critical.

Any Buckeye fan not ecstatic about every single item on Zwick's stat lines save that all-important '2' is on crack. |

27....have some faith.....there were games last year we didnt even score an offensive touchdown and still won.....look at the bright side....michigan lost and Zwick was only sacked once all game. |
