You cant claim top 25 status if you lose to a 1-3 Northwestern team.
Saturday makes or breaks the 2004 season. Either pass the gut check, nut up and beat Wisky or get mauled physically and have the wheels come completely off. If we lose follow the link in my sig and start making your Sun Bowl plans.

All I would say is on the media poll they have West Virginia above us ... I don't think so but I can see us in the 13-16 range right now...

15 is about right for now. Wins over Wisconsin and Purdue could get us back into the top ten by the time we play scUM

If we don't get it together quickly we could be out of the top 25 all together. Wisconsin has had a lot of recent success against JT and in the horseshoe, and looks good. Iowa will not be a joke on the road either. 3-3? I hope not, but it does concen me.

I was at the game and they looked like a ~35-40 ranked team.
The defense looked terrible, the offense looked worse.
Zwick is so single (Santonio) minded that it is ridiculous. Kind of like Krenzel was in some games with Jenkins. I would take the latter combo any day of the week.
The play calling was pathetic. Hello can I say fullback on short yardage to take on the backer and what about the tight end down the middle. I forogot that we are now a bubble screen team but instead of 3 receivers for the bubble we use 2 which never works.
All in all I think that the kids played as well as they were coached. If I was sending out the paychecks this week The only one who would get theirs would be the waterboy and the training staff.
And I know why my ticket was only $22. I was boggled for weeks. We did not even get the pleasure of watching undisputedly the #1 band in the land. Instead we were entertained by a bunch og geeks dressed in horrid purple uniforms attempting to juke and jive around the field. They were as pitiful as our coaching performance. I take that back, they were better.
Someone better watch some game film this week or we will be embarrassed far worse by a clearly superior team than we lost to this week.

Major issue this week(beyond play calling) was tackling. We play a run based offense this week, and will get to use LB's instead of CB's on 'D'. That alone should improve our tackling. Even with Davis back for Wisky, I think our 'D' will step up, and shutdown the run. I'll take Schlegel and the three starters over Everett, Youboty, and shoulder throwers Whitner and Salley any day of the week.
After missing that many tackles in the secondary, can anyone say that we don't miss Dustin Fox back there?

I'll put my 2 cents in on this one. I usually don't care what we're ranked but its actually just right or alittle high for us right now. I was expecting a 20 rank. We had 2 weeks to get ready, against a crappy team, we have one of the best Defenses in the nation, best kicker in the nation, Jim Tressel, and what we still lost? Thats what hurts me the most. Is that we shouldv'e had just about everything going for us and we still couldn't get the job done.
