There have been several assaults on Archie's achievements...I think its just a matter of time before it happens and this year might be the year. It could have very easily happened in the past with Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson, and even our own MoC (if he wasn't an idiot) likely could have done it. White has a chance because he knew he wasn't ready for the NFL and stayed, a lot of guys that could have done it bolted for the NFL or had injuries that prevented it.
Even if someone else finally does win it twice that will never change the fact that Archie did it first.

I don't mind someone else getting the double heisman. I just don't think Jason White is worthy of it.
Adrian Peterson seems worthy. I wouldn't have any problem if he dialed it up twice. Ginn is also worthy but has a tougher road.

Wish they'd also take into account who these players face on the field. Peterson has run for a few 200 yard games, but that is against Baylor, Kansas, and The South Texas Catholic school for the Blind Orientals. I dont really see a true winner this year. I would give it to Jason Campbell, just because of the level of competition that he faces. White didnt deserve it last years, doesnt this year. You saw what happened when Okie actually faced real competition last year, against K-State and LSU, they got beat, and White looked horrible.

I for one, dont really care who wins the award, because alot of times the voters get it wrong, I think the voters tend to look at the best player on the best team and not really look at the player(s) who are more talented and impact a game with their talents...
I guess its a toss up between....white...bush...peterson.....
The award is not what it once was........

The Heisman is overly dependent on the team's success. It's swung too much that way, as opposed to Hornung winning in 1956 as the QB for a 2-8 ND team.
Benson is getting almost no press, but he has better numbers than Peterson, it's just that Texas lost that game 12-0.
None of the candidates have that signature play, like Flutie's Hail Mary. Bush has a couple electric punt returns, but not enough overall numbers.
I think Rodgers and Arrington will split the votes that don't go to the guys from USC and Oklahoma.
What Alex Smith has done for Utah this year has been amazing, but he had 2 picks last week, the one time most voters had a chance to see him since the season opener.
I'd prefer anyone but White, but I think Leinart needs to have great games against ND and UCLA, or else White will get it. He'll get a lot of second and third place votes, which will be split all over the place for Peterson, Leinart, Bush, Smith, Benson, Campbell, Rodgers, and Arrington.
Obvious East Coast bias, since only 1 of the top 9 candidates will be from east of the Mississippi. Orton and Braylon Edwards will have a close battle for the 10th spot.

JJ Arrington would be getting a lot more consideration if he didn't play with Rodgers... Arrington has been nothing short of fantastic this season and need to be invited to NYC.
White shouldn't have won it last year (Larry Fitzgerald) and he shouldn't win it this year either.
