gbear, at the very bottom of any thread you will see 2 pop up menus. 1 called Admin Tools and 1 called Forum Jump. Under admin Tools there are several options. You need the option "Close Thread". Pick that one. Sometimes you also need to click on the "Go" button to activate that option. Of course these option are only available to you on forums you are listed as a mod. or admin.

Well how I do it is, there is a drop down menu at the top of the thread that says forum tools and it give you several choices. You check the correct box and then hit the button at the bottom.
