Well first of all let me say that the best thing to come out of yesterday's game for me was the pleasure of shaking Archie Griffin's hand. Other than that I watched an Ohio State team play a game that seemed very flat. How many times in recent memory have we gotten out to an early lead on Wisonsin only to see them come storming back, dominating us with their running game? I have seen Alvarez use this formula perfectly.

What are the solutions? What do you think that we should do? What substitutions do you think that we should make? What adjustments should be made?

First and foremost I am going to say this. Something needs to be done along the offensive line, I am quickly losing faith in Bollman. I have not been a huge fan of him dating back to the Maurice Clarett days. There is no reason why he hasn't been able to improve along the offensive front with pass protection and run blocking. With the emphasis that JT puts on running the ball I would think that Tressel would address this issue at some point. With the talent pool that is available to Ohio State, we should at least be able to run the ball somewhat if that is what Tressel wants to do.

Secondly I think that we are all beginning to see how badly we miss those great defensive lineman from the last few years. We now can see why they all playing on Sundays. Overall this years line is blatently worse than last years cast. This is evident with the lack of pass rush, and lack of being able to stop the off tackle plays with penetration. I challk up this category to a rebuilding year.

Our quarterback play has been sporadic. Zwick is being introduced into college football the hard way. He will only improve as this season progresses, people expected too much out of him. I witnessed something very disturbing yesterday at Ohio Stadium. On his way off the field with his head down after an incomplete pass on third down late in the game, Zwick was booed horribly by the Ohio State fans. That [censored]ed me off very much, it's not just Zwicks fault.

That brings me to my last point. Not only is it gut check time (ditto from last week) for our team it is also time for our fans to sit back and look at this thing as a whole. I am already starting to feel the bandwagon that grew at a huge rate the last 2 seasons lighten up quite a bit, and that is fine with me. You will really see the true fans emerge and see those who stick behind this team be rewarded the most. When all the dust has settled and this team has faced adversity time and time again, we only have one place to go......up. I plan on riding this wave with our team. I will not throw my Buckeye gear back in the closet until our next 8-0 start. I still feel that we can have a good season if we can tie up some loose ends, and hopefully we can play the spoiler for a couple of teams along the way.

I plan on riding this wave with our team. I will not throw my Buckeye gear back in the closet until our next 8-0 start. I still feel that we can have a good season if we can tie up some loose ends, and hopefully we can play the spoiler for a couple of teams along the way.

My sentiments exactly Daddy. I am truly saddened by the way things have turned out the past couple weeks but that's no excuse to jump off the Buckeye bandwagon. True fans take the bad with the good. Hopefully, the powers that be will get this thing straightened out and we can still have a decent season. No matter what the outcome though, I will still wear my Buckeye gear with pride. That will never change.
