For those of you who do not know, Dan Hicken & Jeff Prosser are local Jacksonville "First Coast News" sports anchors. They also have a radio show Mon-Fri 7a-10a on 970am (same station as The Gators & More show). Both are HUGE Gator fans and UF grads.

This morning OXgator called in. While they were talking Hicken told this story (paraphrased):

Dan was in Gainesville on Friday to help out with a "work party" at his old frat house. His frat was the one that had the guys involved in the fight last week with the UF football players. He was told that one night during the week (I don't recall what day he said), during dinner, Zook showed up at the frat house with about 15 football players. The frat guys saw that it was Zook so they went outside and started, "...hey Coach! Good to see you!" THEN, Zook starts yelling at them, using profanity, telling them, "....stop harrassing MY players!"
Ron Zook is a grown man! He went to their house DURING DINNER and called them out. This is a total joke. It is unreal!! This is OUR coach!! UF has a police department and a student judicial system.

Some of you will say, "...Good, he's standing up for his players....blah....blah....blah....blah....".

But, the fact here is simple: Once again Zook is making excuses and blaming someone else. And if you think for one second that those players were "victims" you are a damn fool! Sorry to be so blunt, but you are.

Did anyone read Mack Brown's comments after the loss to Oklahoma? He said, "I'm responsible for this team, so if we lose it's my responsibility. Players win, coaches lose at our place."

Zook's comments after the loss: "I'm not calling them out, but you know what? There comes a point in time.....it's my responsibility. I'm responsible for this football team. I'm not calling them out, but we've got stand up and do what we can do."

Is Zook calling them out or not? Is he responsible for this team or not? What in the hell is he saying in that quote??

Why do you think we are getting the personal foul penalties week after week? Why did Crowder and Herring get to play the EMU game? You don't beat the dog a week later for crapping on the rug!

I was at "The Swamp" (the real one, the bar/restaraunt) after the game. Crowder, T. Harris, and a few other players showed up around 1am. They were hooping it up, having a good ole time. Not a care that they just lost a game that was given to them. That's how much these guys care! That's a direct reflection on the way they are led, their "leader".

Zook has lost control of the program. If he stays another year, God help us all!

Wasn't Florida the school where one of the football players almost killed a Frat Boy by throwing a keg of beer? It's a small wonder that the Greek community has some bad feelings for the football team.
