Final thoughts....

Boeckman has to improve with his decision making. I won't down him for the 1st INT, but the second one was definitely his fault. Bauserman looked great. His deep ball looks excellent and seems to make good decisions. Henton didn't have much time to make throws, but didn't see many problems when he did have time. Herron had a great game. His vision is amazing for such a young player and I can't wait to see what he brings to this team during the season. Saine had an off game, but I'm not worried. He's still a great player and will still see plenty of PT. Mo Wells didn't see much action, but had a great return on a kickoff. I didn't really expect him to see much PT, since he is a Senior and there is no need to risk injury. Hopefully we'll cut down on the penalties during the regular season. Too many false starts and also too many holding calls on big plays. I trust the coaches to nip that in the bud. Defense looked good for the most part. A few too many catchable deep balls for my liking, but I'm not worried.

Hopefully we'll have some news on some of the recruits shortly

Who stepped up?

Taurian Washington was outstanding today..

I thought Ray Small had a very good game.. he looks much stronger (physically) than he did last yr..

Bauserman was very impressive.. i was suprised how poised he was back there.. and he throws the best ball of any of the QBs..

On defense.. alot of the usual guys looked good.. Gibson stood out, Larimore had a couple sacks, Coleman played well..

The negatives:

Boeckman.. i thought he was awful.. he played like he did vs Illinois.. some solid moments, but wreckless with the ball.. and quick to vacate the pocket whenever a blitz was shown..

Kickoffs.. Mo Wells should never return kicks.. even when he actually had a chance to take off and have a huge return, he was just too slow to turn the corner..

Penalites..

Ballard dropping two balls..

Henton is strong as an ox and keeps plays alive.. but his passing game is pretty poor right now

Good post. TB looks good for the most part. Just can't get sloppy and throw picks. It's frustrating to watch him move the offense so well and then turn it over.

As far as Saine goes. We obviously saw nothing of the "special" plays put in to utilize him. He'll help us in the pony look but not so much in the I.

Herron is going to good!

Good point on Mo Wells. Seniors don't play much.

Defense looked pretty good in the first quarter when the starters were in there together.

One more thing...doesn Coleman like to hit or what? He was talking smack after hitting Nicol in the final quarter down two scores...dude is a football player.

Wish BTN would've scanned the stadium and showed TP and company.

I'm just thankful I got to enjoy some Buckeye football!
