Bob Hunter commentary: Soggy scrimmage doesn't shine much light on Buckeyes' outlook

Joe Bauserman passed for 125 yards and one touchdown.
Sometimes it's hard to tell whether people are hoping for deep insight from Ohio State's spring game or whether they're simply satisfied to see something vaguely resembling OSU football.
This was different. Yesterday, a lot of people went to Ohio Stadium for a sign. They wanted to see a sign, even if it was only a teensy-weensy one, that the 2008 season is going to have a better ending than 2006 and 2007.
Thousands of wet, shiny people huddled happily in the Ohio Stadium bleachers while the irritated sky gave them its best shot. Thousands were willing to brave bad weather and even bad football for that one moment that proves the Buckeyes will win it all in the fall.

Also, Hartline wasn't wide open. He had a step but that was solid coverage.

There's no such thing as a well thrown interception.

The glass is half empty thing. Coleman made a spectacular play.
Boeckman's other interception was a bad throw/decision on his part.
But, who is a better choice at QB right now?
If you say anyone else your delusional.
A bigger question might be; Will Tress open up the offense enough to use all the weapons we have?

No. Saying a pass into double coverage that is intercepted is a well thrown ball is delusional. I never said the QB should be anyone other than Boeckman. I think JT will do just fine. Trust the coaches.

Bauserman was BY FAR the best QB on the field yesterday. I think the coaching staff should give him a close look for starting in the fall. Right now, I'd rate the QBs this way:
1. Bauserman
1A. Boeckman
3. Henton
I hate to say it, but thus far in his career, I haven't seen much from Henton, and yesterday didn't change my mind one bit.

Star running out, makeshift oline, makeshift WR's, lack of playcalling, shitty weather...
Boeckman looked fine...Great play by Coleman, and one bad throw...He was 12-18 which is good percentage...
