This is obviously the 2008 QB Discussion thread...

Isn't it?

And thank you for at least trying to get us back to that...

As for TW; we have a TON of very good receivers but I agree he looked very good Saturday.

Robo and Hartline will be fixtures. I don't see anyone taking their places.

The Great Dane has had a lot more buzz to this point, and Ray Small appears like he might be about to unleash his prodigious potential. If that happens, TW may get the dubious distinction of being our most talented pine-rider who doesn't wear a linebacker's number.

  1. Divide a quarterback's completed passes by pass attempts.
  2. Subtract 0.3.
  3. Divide by 0.2 and record the total. The sum cannot be greater than 2.375 or less than zero.
  4. Divide passing yards by pass attempts.
  5. Subtract 3.
  6. Divide by 4 and record the total. The sum cannot be greater than 2.375 or less than zero.
  7. Divide touchdown passes by pass attempts.
  8. Divide by 0.05 and record the total. The sum cannot be greater than 2.375 or less than zero.
  9. Divide interceptions by pass attempts.
  10. Subtract that number from 0.095.
  11. Divide that product by 0.04 and record the total. The sum cannot be greater than 2.375 or less than zero.
  12. Add the four totals you recorded.
  13. Multiply that total by 100.
  14. Divide by 6.
  15. The final number is your quarterback rating.
Someone mentioned quarterback rating. It might be fun to compare them. Who's got a calculator?

I haven't been here in a while.

Someone mind giving me a recap of the game?

Offensive/Defensive players of the game?

Few Surprise players?

Things that went well?

Something that was missing?

Anything like that would be great.

I am really excited for this football season to start and can't get enough of it.

wet, windy, vanilla play calling

offensive: Taurian Washington / Joe Bauserman

defensive: Lawrence Wilson (everyone is good and no one really stood out that much, Wilson just seemed to be in the backfield instantly on a couple of plays and I'm excited to see him back from and injury last season)

not really, when you have 19 returning starters, not including special teams, not too many things are unexpected, but Bauserman / Taurian Washington's play was probably the most surprising thing

run game / dominant offensive line play, which is to be expected when Beanie is out along with two starters on the Oline as well as several backups who are expected to contribute

overall very little to be taken away from the game, everyone seems to be enjoying discussing the QB play, but you can read over the last couple pages for that because I'm not going to get into it
