Re: "He's competitive and wants to win at all costs," Smith said of Bell, who also stars at running back. "He's the heart and soul of that defense. I wouldn't say, as he goes, we go, because we have a good group around him that can step up when needed to. But he's the one that, if we give up a few yards, he's getting in someone's face and letting them know it's unacceptable."
The Ohio State football team sure could use some of that this year. ![]() Re: I owe everything to the line, because they did mostly everything,? said running back Dorian Bell. ?They plowed ahead and made some huge holes for us to get through. We wouldn?t have been anything without them tonight, or all year really. And he's humble too!!! ![]() |

The reason I love Dorian Bell, is that he's a new type of linebacker(dare I say it, an SEC type linebacker).
Dorian Bell is like the linebackers Auburn has been using all these years. I hope we don't put too much weight on him, because I think he can be special(AJ Hawk potential at the Will spot). Ideally, Rolle or Moeller play Will next year, with Bell splitting time. |

Bell probably has more natural talent than either Moeller or Rolle.

The thing I like most about Bell is that he knows how to blitz.. right now we dont have a starting LB that has any idea how to effectively time their blitz, get through traffic, and harass the QB

JL and Freeman are great in their own ways(some of the time), but they're just not that type of linebacker. They don't have that knack for rushing the quarterback effectively. It seems when we blitz either of them(especially JL), that they can't get off or avoid blockers. Hawk could do those things, and I think Bell will be able to do them too. |

The more I read about him and what his coach reports. He reminds me of Chris wells. I wonder if OSU would ever give him a shot at RB. Like, Ginn recruited as a CB, played WR. Beanie was a monster at LB in high school, I started his thread and he was an animal. I still think he would have played a lot as a freshmen at LB just like, he did at RB. Think about how he stiff-arms when he runs., imagine him tackling.
