The scouts think enough of the Canton, Ohio, native that he's rated among the top three safeties in the draft, projected as a late first-round or second-round selection. A strong safety, Doss undoubtedly helped himself with an impressive pro day workout last month, when he posted 4.47 and 4.53 times for 40 yards.
You are right in that he was never a burner and after the injuries he's had, that 4.75 isn't too surprising, honestly.

You got to admire and be envious of Jack Park. That guy gets to do what we all wish we could do for a living: talk and write about Ohio State football every day.

Someone just posted in a player's thread that the player being discussed would make the winning play in at least 1 game this year.

If the statement means that the player will make a play in the last 2 minutes of a game that makes the difference between a win and a loss, then I disagree with it. But my disagreement has nothing to do with the player; so I will not post it in his thread.

My disagreement comes from the fact that I do not believe that ANY OSU game this year will be decided by 7 points or less: not even the USC game.

I've believed this for some time now, and it's time to go on record; this year's team will be dominant in a way that is reminiscent of the '95 Nebraska team. They're a very different team than those Cornhuskers. The only thing they will have in common is the level of dominance. They will just plain roll.

This team has a combination of talent, experience and motivation based on their history that comes along once. Not once in a lifetime, not once in a generation, not once in a decade... just plain once.

I say all this knowing that I have been guilty of being too optimistic in the past; but secure in the knowledge that I was one of the few that never lost faith during the run in 2002. Sure I could be wrong, again. But what if I'm right, again?

If someone from the future came back and told you that in 50 years this will be considered the most glorious season in OSU history; what would you do differently? Anything? May I make a suggestion?

If you haven't been to a game in awhile:
Get to a game. Do whatever it takes.
If you've never been to a bowl game:
Go to Miami. Move heaven and earth to get there.
If you go to games every year and you've been to a bowl:
Go to an away game or two.
Record every game. Wear Buckeye Gear Every Day. Drink in every single moment of this season like it were your last moment on earth.

These are the good old days. Enjoy them for all they're worth.

I will agree with the 2nd part of your post about doing this/that for the season.

However, I cannot agree in saying that I feel that this team will dominate like the mid 90's Huskers. I mean cmon its ridiculous to expect any team to do what they did to their competition. I don't see us racking up 63points on the Gators(or whoever the NC opponent may be if we're lucky enough to get there).

I've only been to two Buckeyes games in my life. Purely coincidentally, they were both in 2002.

I don't think I'll be able to make any games this year though. Maybe we could hold off on having the best season ever until the Buckeyes play out here at Cal in 2012 or 2013?
