I understand the point you are getting at, but I don't agree with this comparison. A workhorse RB is a clock killer while a player like Teddy is a quick strike, explosive threat. There cannot be a substitute for a punishing run game in terms of managing the game and controlling the flow.

I guess what MistriBuck was trying to get at is the "quick strike" threat in Ginn and co. would potentially be able to run up the score to a point that the opponents offense can't come back (especially w/ our overwhelming defense). Of course, this is in direct contradiction to Tressel's type of play, and leaves a LOT of questions to be answered. Surely a workhorse RB is a necessity for our offense.

I personally want a TB by committee next year. If we want to pound the ball have Stan White block for Dionte Johnson. Use Johnson like we did Branden Joe if we want to kill clock.

hmmmmm, interesting point grad............agreed having that type of running back would be a huge plus, particularly considering how tressel prefers to sit on a lead and chew the clock up, but what i mean is the scoring ability of Ginn as a WR and punt returner should make up for it from a production standpoint, i.e. the ability to put points on the board.....if we can utilize the talent on offense properly we shouldn't need to chew up the clock as much
