My favorite part of the documentary was how much more time was spent showing how fanatic and devoted Ohio State fans were while spending relatively few time on Michigan fans... other than to point out their historical and continuing reputation for arrogance.

Which Mike Wallace illustrated perfectly......

Yes, I can relate to that as well. The Friday before last year's game in C-Bus I was in the Columbus airport waiting to fly home. Before you say why fly home when The Game was the next day, my son plays football for a small university and I attended his game....
Anyway, I am at the airport and he comes this old guy 90+ years of age (all decked out in his best scarlet & gray) being "wheeled" down the concourse. The guy was yelling "Go Buckeyes" and shaking his cane in the air. This was a guy who every other day it is probably hard just to move and he was waving his cane and yelling at everybody to back the Bucks and acting like a teenager. That was just a great site to beyond.......

Anyone who has come back to Ohio from M*ch*g*n Stadium after a Buckeye win on 23 has seen the Ohio State fans standing at the border welcoming back the team and fans.
|
Seen them on the way up early in the morning. Never seen the Buckeyes win in that state up north though. So the drives back have flat out sucked.

One thing they forgot to mention about the border war. Ohio lost, that's why we got Toledo.

Haha, [censored] you. Why couldn't we throw in Youngstown too then?
Does anybody have this available for download? I really want to see it but we're too cheap to pay for HBO.

I am watching the video of the "snow bowl" that they borrowed from for this documentary. JEEZLY CROW, I thought it was bad just in the bit I saw on HBO. To see the longer, full version of it makes the whole idea even MORE INSANE.
The fans that were there couldn't even SEE the game most of the time. Players look like they were getting lost no more than 3 feet away from the line of scrimmage. And yet, Ohio had its cheerleader squad out (:yow: at the outfits) AND TBDBITL came out at halftime and STILL managed to get a good looking, well made, strong outline of a buckeye leaf formation taken care of.

Winning or losing that game came down purely to luck, no doubt about it. I wonder how many people, players and fans, came down with some kind of frostbite? I would guess the fans more likely, they were doing a lot more sitting around!

Saw it last night. It brought me to tears a couple of times. One of the best sports documentaries I have seen. I wish they had talked a bit more about "Pay it forward" and all of Woody's generosity. The punch got more air time than his humanitarian work.
I also gained some respect for Bo.

I had a friend who ordered HBO two days ago and cancelled it today. Couldn't cost more than 5 bucks to do that.
