I posted this on another site but thought I should put it here as well. I just got my ire up after Ive heard so many complaining about JT. In any event, here it is below....
We just finished the best run in the history of the B10 conference, but JT doesnt know how to coach. Our defense has consistently been rated in the top 1 or 2 all year, but Heacock is a moron. I got news guys, everyone is going to have a loss this year. I guess every staff sucks. At seasons start, I thought we'd be 8-4 this year. Instead we are 9-1 and playing UM for the Roses. We should be on our knees thanking JT for what a great job he has done. Instead, we have dolts in Cbus calling for his head. Unreal.
You know, if you want to find out something about someones character, dont look at them when they are winning. Everyone is great during the good times. Show me how someone handles adversity and Ill tell you what kind of man they are. Hard times dont build your character, they reveal it. I have seen this time and time again in my life. Ive said this elsewhere, but winners are not someone who wins all the time - no one wins all the time. A winner is someone who when down and deck is stacked against them, they get off the canvas and hit you with everything they have. Those are the guys I want working for me. Those are the guys I want in my huddle. Those are the guys I want to stand next to in battle. However, the guys who run at the first sign of a tough time. The guys who cry and stomp their feet the first time they are hit. The guys who bail out of the foxhole when the first shot is fired. Those guys are losers in the purest sense of the word. Over the long haul, they will always be beaten by the winners in every facet of life. Thats just the plain truth.
If someone wants to be critical of what we could have or could not have done differently, that is one thing. But to call for this coaches head (who is a winner by the above definition by the way) after what he has done does nothing me save show me what a loser you are. It simple shows me that you have absolutely no capacity for adversity and will turn tail at the first sight of a tough time. In that, I have no time for you. Take your cowardice elsewhere and have fun working the rest of your life for a winner.
Although I was not born in Ohio, I feel like I am a Buckeye through and through. I live and die with each win and loss. That said -
OSU is not a team I simply root for like a pro team -
OSU is a very big part of WHO I AM. Those are MY GUYS playing down there. They might as well be my friends or my brothers. We are bonded by a very strong common link. (This is one reason I cant understand booing, but thats another story.) If we win, I celebrate with them. If we lose, I mourn with them. But win or lose, I am a Buckeye, and I will be there the following Saturday - pulling for my friends. Pulling for my brothers.

has far exceeded all of my expectations and proves that having athletically talented players and great coaching will equal success on the gridion (see ND if you disagree with this statement). It's ok to be critical of different aspects of the team and/or game. If we didn't, we would not be fans of The Best Goddamned Team in the Land. To call these kids bad players, or the staff bad coaches, crosses the line. Anyone who would do such a thing is a "fairweather fan". Punishment for this act should be a forced march down High St this Friday night wearing a "Llllloyd Carr is my Daddy" maize and blue t-shirt. Let the FAITHFUL pass judgement.
