I know this because I see daveeb's dad in the mirror every morning when I shave

I was intentionally over-dismissive of the upcoming opponent in my portion of the preview. It was my version of "whistling past the grave yard"; but alas it appears to have backfired.
But this was nothing compared to what my brother did. My brother has had a membership here for quite some time. Then he goes and makes his first post just this past week. In the "Who do you want to play in the NC game" thread!
Way to go, jackass!

Actually kind of funny to see this thread. A friend and I were talking about this after the game. We went to a non-Ohio State bar to watch the game, due to a friend having a birthday party. Mind you I live in Chicago so most bars that are not affiliated with a college team are Illinois bars by default. This was not a pleasant experience and never plan on watching a Buckeye game at a neutral location again. Which reminds me I watched the National Championship game at a neutral bar in Arizona.
A couple of other things I did different.
-I dropped Michigan and picked up Ohio State in Zurps Pick 'Em Game.
-I bet 200000 instead of 150000 vBux.

I didn't wear my usual OSU t-shirt with bandana, nor did I watch it with the same buddy I have watched every other game with...

I went to the team shop at the Varsity Club with my brother in law, and dutifully did not pick up a Beat Illinois button, explaining to him that whenever I get one of these stupid Beat Somebody buttons, the Bucks lose. We get back to the tailgate, and some guy comes over and says, "Hey, did you get your 'Beat Illinois' button yet?" I said no, and he handed me not just the Varsity Club one, but the 1460 The Fan version too.
My acceptance of said buttons was the double-whammy of bad karma.
Oh, and I normally go commando on game days, but [censored] ... it was sooooo cold last night, I had to wear the thermals!
