My predictions:
Rose Bowl: Ohio State (Big Ten Champions) vs. Oklahoma (At-Large) Orange Bowl: Virginia Tech (ACC Champion) vs. Louisville (At-Large) Fiesta Bowl: Texas (Big 12 Champion) vs. Michigan (At-Large) Sugar Bowl: West Virginia (Big East Champion) vs. Florida (At-Large) BCS National Championship Game: USC (BCS #1) vs. LSU (BCS #2) TCU will just miss out and Wisconsin is only left out because of only being able to have two two teams from he same conference in the BCS. |

I wouldn't even dare to predict how the Big Ten will shake out. Far too many question marks on the contenders. Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, even Penn State could all win it.....then again they could all end up with four conference losses too.
ACC champ: VT (plech) SEC champ: Florida Big 12 champ: Texas Pac-10 champ: USC Big East champ: WVU If Virginia Tech goes to the title game I will barf. |

Hmm.. I'm begining to wonder if I'll get ANY of my predictions right. My BCS NC game is pretty much blown up. West Virginia may be out of a BCS game now. Texas may need a lot of help to get in a BCS game. And CWRU has too many freshmen to be considered for a BCS game, even if they do win a game this year.

Some of the Computer ranking pages are generating data.
Here are those with data (rest will post October 14th). Sagarin - Has Ohio State #3 (EDIT: #8 in ELO-CHESS used by the BCS - thanks Dryden) Billingsley - Also rates the Buckeyes #3 Colley Matrix places tOSU 9th Massey slots the Scarlet & Gray in at #4 (BC gets the 3 spot) The other sites can be conveniently found here at Fox's BCS page. Last edited by sandgk; 10-07-2007 at 10:39 AM. Reason: BCS ELO-CHESS in Sagarin |

Sagarin has OSU #8. Unfortunately, the best team we've played (W-L wise) is YSU, so that's not helping. |

USF and UC are BCS Teams
![]() But to answer your question, no undefeated BCS conference school is going to be left out for a one-loss team. Call it a conspiracy theory if you like, but the powers that be won't let it happen. Besides with the way things are shaping up (and assuming UC makes a huge leap in the polls today), the numbers will work out such a way that if CAl and Ohio State choke, they'll be right in the picture probably. |

How about a BCS title game of Cal and OSU??? There's a long shot at the beginning of the year. And if Florida could have just hung on last night, those would be the teams in the drivers seats right now.

As of week 6, remaining undefeated teams:
Pac-10Looking at that list, it is easy to imagine that a 1-loss team will make it to the BCS championship game.ASUSEC It may already be too late to get your 1-loss and still make it though. Any one who loses from here on out may be SOL. Interestingly, Kansas is the farthest west you can go and find a team on the list that plays defense. Arizona State might have a little defense, but they haven't played anyone. We'll find out about them in the next 3 weeks. |
