But I'm racking my brain here and I can't remember a time when there was ever a poll on whose "fault" it was that some team or other made it into an NC game. To treat our impending (presumed) rise to the #2 spot in the polls as something just short of a National Tragedy does seem to be a bit much.
But as I've made very clear; I wouldn't have it any other way.

Oh, I agree that OSU is clearly a "target" and I agreed that OSU was in the cross hairs on the Mo C thing (that is, I was on the ESPiN is out to get us side of the argument, though not so much that I was ever talking about banning watching football on the network or any some such) As you ID, the target now is because OSU has fans who can't let it go... any small slight, real or perceived must be CORRECTED!!!!!
We all do it, but most of us just do it here to ourselves, rather than feeding the beast.

Ohio State's "embarrassing loss to Illinois"? You mean the Illinois that's 9-3, #15 in the BCS standings, and gave current #1 Missouri all in could handle in a 6-point loss in the season opener? Right. Clearly that's more embarrassing than LSU losing two games to now-unranked teams who total nine losses between them. Clearly more embarrassing than mighty USC losing--at home--to freakin' 3-8 Stanford...you know, the same Stanford who just got beat at home by a pathetic, national-laughingstock Notre Dame.
News flash, baldy: Nearly every team this year has an embarrassing loss. Just quit being bitter over how horrid your Notre Dame team is this year, and don't project your anger on the team that waxed your beloved Irish the last three times they played.
It must be pretty hard for you to type your "articles" when your clown shoes keep you four feet from the monitor.

The thing is, even if we get in the NC and win, we will still not get any love. No reporter is going to say, "well I messed up that one". All the talk is going to be about how LSU, USC, Georgia, and 80 other teams are better. How this is proof that CFB needs a playoff. This is almost a lose-lose...but at least we will know...we will know!

I'm getting kind of sick of this argument. Who the hell cares what Mark May or Colin Cowherd has to say? If the crystal football is in the trophy case the talking heads can talk all they want.
