I agree. I am surprised that ESPN would take such a jab at any school, the supposed anti- OSU bias notwithstanding.

Unfortunately, most don't actually look like idiots in the eyes of the majority of their audience. Let's take Colin Cowherd, as an example. Maybe he's not a great example, because I haven't heard much of what he's had to say, and that which I have heard, he's only stated facts that are true - weak out-of-conference opponents Ohio State has had, Ohio State couldn't even stop Illinois, etc. But when he makes statements like, "Ohio State would get crushed by West Virginia," I would guess that 90% of his audience agrees. And when an Ohio State fan calls his show, he, being the host, drives the conversation to where he can make the caller look like a turd.
You can't win an argument with a radio show host on the air. You can't win an argument against a writer when he's the one reporting the argument.

One thing I've noticed lately is that if you go to the boards of other teams and its not just pure trash(BP equivilants if they exist). People there are by and large of the same opinion on these guys as we are.
They aren't dumb, they realize that shock jock x is bashing school y to get ratings. The best part is they usually start the conversation by calling shock jock x something to the effect of "that little [censored]head who was trashing our beloved school for no good reason a while back....".
My point is that I was relieved to find out, in a very unscientific and flawed way, that most people of average intelligence don't fall for this bull[censored] anyway regardless of school affiliation.
It seems to me they hit the 13-18 year old market and sub 85 IQ market(read SEC ) very effectivly. The rest of us know wrestling is fake.

I was just going to agree now we know why they are so popular with the SEC nation
Unfortuanly like most things in this country people are either to lazy or stupid to find out anything that even is close to the truth.
Either way I don't care. Like others let them hate all they want. As long as OSU is holding a crystal football at the end of the season I will take that any year.

I saw Holtz's pep talk to Pittsburgh last night and he hit the nail on the head talking about sports reporters. He said something along the lines of; the ones who can't play coach, those who can't play or coach, report about it.
I'm sure that I notice the times that these "reporters" single out tOSU more than others, but it seems to happen a lot. The good thing about this is we are far from insignificant, and we are not the hot story for anything nefarious or criminal.
Maybe we just need a few hoods to hang around our sidelines, or a group like the Song Girls to cheer for us to get more love. Well I'll pass on the former, but I'm all for the latter

To tell you the truth, the more they talk, the better I like it. Remember 2002?

If you struggle taking criticism, then you need to not be at Ohio State or not be playing the game of football.
