Yeah, exactly why I didn't list them. They are by far the most deserving of the teams left out there and that obviously includes us.

V.O.R could go either way
[quote=BuckeyeTillIDie;1006888;]"Experts" who use last year's game as an example as to why Ohio State should not be able to play in the NC game this year are complete idiots. Is it some stigma that Ohio State has to carry with them for a certain amount of years? The whole idea is flawed."

That's exactly what I was thinking. Is this years team supposed to just forfeit the season after the debacle in the desert? Fortunately there is precedent: The 1996-97 Gators, victims of as bad a beatdown as I've ever seen by Nebraska in a title game the previous year, were "allowed" to play Florida State for the title the following year (even though FSU already beat them in the regular season) and even to win it. It kills me that somehow its the Buckeyes fault that LSU, Oklahoma, etc can't beat unranked teams.

Everything you need to know about Dodd's relavence:

Some clarity: There are seven teams still in the running for the BCS title game.

Missouri, West Virginia and Ohio State are obvious. But two-loss teams Georgia, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, LSU and USC aren't out of it.
Now maybe Dodd has a different notion of what seven means, or perhaps I'm just bad at the math, but I do beleive that he listed 8 teams there.

7 is the new 8. Dodd is just that ahead of the curve.

Fellas, this one is simple. The only way that we will ever garner any kind of respect is to beat a "fast, high powered" spread offense. We haven't fared well as of late, that is for damn sure. As it stands, the national championship is that game right now. If we get in (which I think we will), we will hear for a month and some change how bad that the mighty spread of WVU will beat us down.

Remember what happened last time we heard about how bad we were going to lose (and how lucky we were) going into a national title game..............

Yeah, we have heard for, going on 5 years now, how one bad call gave us that game. Not the lack of calls on Miami, not the stellar D they played, not anything. All we hear is about the call.

The Buckeyes need to win BY A LARGE MARGIN
