Smith ran a 4.72 at the combine, I believe (Listed on SI and NFLDraftScout). Boeckman ran a 4.80 when he was recruited. I guess it is possible that he sped up a bit.
He definitely has more power behind his legs than Smith did. Harder to bring down from what I have seen from his running.

I would hope Boeckman has "sped up".. all the conditioning and lifting i think it's more than likely he has gotten faster as opposed to "possible"
I think Smith was a tougher tackle though

But, in all likelihood, Boeckman's running ability will have no impact on this game whatsoever. Yeah, he got us a couple first downs rushing on 3rd and long late in the season, but nothing more than that.

The 40 time argument is a non-starter, imo. Troy was always quicker than fast. His ability to elude the rush was his strength (esp early in his career), something Boeckman does not resemble. However, once Todd gets rumbling he can get downfield fast enough.

Yup, he's also 6 or 7 inches taller, no? Helps with the strides

I thought you guys were a bunch of hippies with all those leaves everywhere. Relax, I've since learned they are the leaves of the Buckeye tree, or horse-chestnut (according to wikipedia).

Hey guys. First post on your forum Most level headed LSU fans (which are perceived to be few and far between) realize last year's game was a fluke as far as the final score and was no indication of how great your team actually was.
As for this year, if anyone of us thinks the results will be , they're in for a rude awakening. I KNOW you guys will be well coached and MOTIVATED. We're generally considered a 2nd half team, but I think we'll need to play all 4 quarters or it's us that may be on the wrong side of a blowout.
Good Luck on 1/7.
