How many Buckeye Fans have been to New Orleans
It truly is an amazing city. Katrina really hit it hard, but it is rebuilding slowly but surely. The history and ambiance are fantastic. There truly is no place like it. Everyone should go at least once.

I've been there. Visited when I was stationed at Pensacola, FL. Nice place, had a great time. We did screw up in choosing a place for dinner, but overall it was a great time.

I've been there a couple of times. I have enjoyed myself greatly every time. I've done some touristy stuff, haunted history tour, graveyard tour, etc and some not so touristy stuff. Both times were LONG before Katrina. When OCBF and I get around to actually having a honeymoon, we have planned on visiting N.O. and are happy to hear how well the rebuilding seems to be going.

I was there for the '98 Sugar Bowl. Didn't get to explore too much, just saw the French Quarter for the most part. Food was great, game was not.

Red Tide & Oysters would be one screw up that can happen.
Seriously though, been down to New Orleans many different times - it helped that a couple we knew lived down there. Also, it is (was might be better) a favorite location for technical / trade shows. At least five of my ten or more visits would be for that putative purpose.
Aside from one night of excrutiating sickness (those damned Oysters) I always had a grand time in and around New Orleans. Envious of those who are getting a chance to go I am.

i'm a disgrace to my fellow cajuns.
i don't touch oysters or shrimp.
which that may be why i stay healthy.
i'm from louisiana and make the trip to new orleans quite often, but i couldn't begin to tell you every place i ate at.
Mulate's is pretty good.
it's one of the places that stands out to me.
the gumbo was GREAT.

I've been to NOLA many times on business. The people I have met from there are pretty nice. I loved the food & the fun.
