The release from the university was that Clifford would be suspended for the NC game. No other players will be suspended according to the release that was put out at 4:00 yesterday afternoon.
Seems to me that the Dispatch [censored]ed up and is now trying to soften the blow to their credibility.
On another note, it's a shame that arguably the crown jewel in last years recruiting class seems hell bent on getting himself a permanent seat in Coach Tressel's dog house.
Has Honor & Glory weighed in on this yet?

PD article made it seem like there was something more in play than a reporting mistake.
They sited from sources inside the team, and that DWash had been calling teammates and apologizing.
Whatever it is, I'm sure it isn't a situation of Tress, having different rules based on the importance of the player. He has set precedent of disciplining impt. players leading up to games of paramount importance. i.e. Bellisari, Troy

Here's a BP 'how-to' that some folks may not be aware of.
In order to check for an individual's posts in this thread, you can call up the list of threads in the 'Buckeye Football' forum page, and then click on the counter for that thread in the 'Replies' column. That should bring up a list of post counts, by poster, within the thread. Scrolling down that list, then clicking on the number behind a poster's name will bring up that poster's comments for that thread.
Another way is to find that poster in the 'Members List', and click on the 'Show all posts by ...' option, which brings up a reverse chronological list of posts.

Because there may or may not be a problem with D Wash right now, but given that he is not currently, definitely suspended for the Title Game, there is no reason to release that info now. If he must be suspended too, that'll be announced later.
I know it's fashionable to hate the press, but if Tim May were any further "inside" the program, he'd be tasting Tressel's breakfast. I see no reason to doubt Tim May's take on the situation.
If D Wash and Clifford committed the same offense, and it were of the team rule/conduct violation variety, and not a legal problem, it is entirely understandable that Clifford could see a one game suspension and D Wash not, as Clifford has a history of the sort. What the press release also does not detail is whether D Wash will "start" or not. It's still conceivable that D Wash could lose the first series, quarter, or whatever.

I do hate the press. That's probably where my cynicism comes from. I look at a situation like this and immediately think that they didn't check their facts as carefully as they should have because they wanted to scoop everyone else. That's probably not the case and it seems there is obviously something that went on with DW. I just can't stand the speculation that goes along with it (guilty of it myself!!).
