For those who are worried about playing O'Neil the whole night....do you really think OSU is going to put 5 DBs out there against a run-oriented LSU team with three potential excellent backs plus possibly a QB that can run? Come on, if anything, losing Washington takes away a very good tackler on the outside (plus his excellent coverage skills).

Im not sure where the rumblings of Gee stepping in are coming from, but that has not been mentioned once all day in our correspondance.

As far as we know, this was handled within the athletic department.

No arrest, no incidents, nothing violent...

So is is set in stone that Chekwa is the new "#2" or does Amos have a shot? To follow that up is the person that gets beat out in that competition automatically become the default nickel back?

Also, if it's between Amos and O'Neal for nickel back (which is my guess) do we use Amos in passing and O'Neal in rushing situations?

As far as the news itself. Disheartening. Not because it hurts the team, but because these are kids and they are missing out on an opportunity that isn't guarenteed to happen ever again. It's sad. I hope the Buckeyes can go down there and take care of business to show that no one person(s) is bigger than the team (and this game). OH....
