Most Tiger fans would probably cite the first play from scrimmage in the 2003 BCS National Championship, hand-off to Justin Vincent who took it for 64 yards.
As for that Holy Buckeye, play, you might as well call that the Holy Crap play. That's like Crazy Les' call at the end of the Auburn game this year... but we might have had enough time for one more play (debatable). That call by Tressel was 4th down at the end of the game. It looked like the QB was looking to go deep the whole time. Is that what Tressel intended? What the story behind that?

It wasn't the first play from scrimmage but the closest that I can remember was the 2004 tOSU - scUM game when Smith threw the 68 yard TD to Gonzo on the fifth play of the game. But as far as first play from scrimmage I am also coming up with a blank.
The "Holy Buckeye" was actually the drawn up and called play in 2002 at Purdue. For a few years after alot of the tOSU stores were selling a framed piece that had a replica of the draw up of the play and photos from the catch by Jenkins.

actually, my choice isn't on there....I think we come out throwing a quick sit down route to Robiskie for 5-7 yards.....get the cb's to move up a little closer before we hit them over the top
Beanie will obviously get his share of the load unlike last year with Pittman-not getting enough touches to our RB's last year had to eat Tressel alive

I'm thinking a nice, conservative running play for Beanie will occur...I think the coaches will want to see what kind of Dorsey we will be going up against right from the get go.
