Double negative? So... that means... you couldn't not have not seen this thread not happen?

I agree the dude is assinine by saying that y'alls rivalry is irrelevant any more in college football. Do none of y'all see rivalry as a regional thing though? Can you agree that it is not relevant in the south except for the few transplanted northernors. I literally know no one that cares about it, and that is not a diss at all; it is just fact. I also could care less about the yankees-red sox rivalry. I am a cubs fan and care about the cubs-cards(I know, lord help me). North Louisiana is littered with Cubs fans for some reason. I am a LSU Tiger's fan and care about rivalries that pertain to my team, jsut as y'all are tOSU fans and care about rivalries that pertain to y'alls team. I honestly think this thread is a lot to do about nothing. The big things to each individual are the things they want to have meaning for them.

Ray, I agree that region has a large impact on making rivalries relevant TO INDIVIDUALS.....but I also disagree w/ the fact that b/c it's irrelevant to many people in the south, it takes away from the fact that OSU/Michigan is a great rivalry in a NATIONAL sense.
What I'm saying, is that just because we don't necessarily care who wins The Game most years, doesn't mean that it's not an important game for college football as a whole.
Ask people on the west coast if they give a [censored] about who wins Auburn/Alabama......I doubt you'd get many people who say they do. It doesn't mean that game is any less important in the South though.
P.S. I share the horrible affliction of being a Cubs fan w/ you, and one of these days we'll have something to cheer about.

Dude!
the Ohio State vs Michigan rivalry is a 1 game playoff for a spot in the NC game or at least a top 5 finish most of the BCS years. To suggest it's regional is lame. That's part of the problem we have with splitting into 2 divisions and playing a conference championship game....the SEC and other conferences have diluted the values of their rivalries as far as national prominence. UF can lose to LSU in the regular season and beat them in the SEC CG....therefore the regular season game was no more important than the Mississippi State game.
