Even Navy is 3-0!

ND, please don't tell me you're counting Navy as a "tough game". Please. Really. Plus, I still don't buy that "toughest schedule" bullshit. ND plays a tough schedule, but to me, it still doesn't compare to anyone in the SEC. Plus, the "strength of schedule" crap will be re-evaluated, and a lot of ND's "competition" will fade fast (such as BYU).
Don't get me wrong, ND's schedule is obviously tougher than tOSU's this year, but I hate it that the Irish are always getting "kudos" for having such a tough schedule, when half of their schedule is made up of patsies.

NOTREDAMECHIEF,
Although I'll give you this, looking at the schedule fast, it does look like an challenging schedule because some of these teams have had recent success or other have had good traditions but if ya look at the teams more closely you'd see that :
BYU ... ummm won't say anything cuz I know its still painfull for you to relive hehe, but their 1-3
M#chigan - always a good team, I'll give you that .
MSU- they are terrible (2-2 and could lose 5 more possibly)
Washington - 0-3 .. not exactly an up year yet for them
Purdue- media darlings ... we'll see how good they are when they play some good teams finally.
Stanford- ok team but their alot of computer geeks there.. not football kids lol
Navy- comon.
BC- not a powerhouse but scrapy
Tenn- ok not bad team. We'll see how good they do against auburn
Pitt- didn't they almost lose to Furman ??
USC- good team
Ok so you have some good teams (maybe 3) but some could be considered PATSies too !!!
In short, you have no arguement. Your team can be argued to have just as much a good or cake schedule as any other team. Yea 3 good teams your playing but the rest are just eye candy to the uninformed. Good try though. Good luck with the team though.

You guys are right (and no I don't consider Navy a powerhouse) that there are
soe easy, some middle of the raod and some hard but the #1 is as of right now ND's future opponents have the best record of any D1 team according to the NCAA! But we shall see as the season progresses..

Yeah, but who have those teams played? This wouldn't even be an issue, except for all the bullshit smacktalk about how ND has such a raw deal because they play the toughest schedule year in and year out. If the media morons weren't always spouting off at the mouth about ND's schedule, I wouldn't even think about it twice. But since they are, and your schedule really isn't any tougher than others (regardless of your opponents current records, this whole subject pisses me off.

You have a point but in the same breath what pisses us ND fans off is that alot schools have maybe one real tough game on there schedule....
Heck when this schedule was made Wash and BYU were probably pretty respectable.

You have a point about scheduling in advance and having those teams change in talent. I think OSU has done a good job under Tressel, scheduling teams that will likely still be tough when we play them:
Texas
Southern California
Miami (Fl)
Virginia Tech
All the above teams will play us two games, home/away...

i will give you washington being tough probably when scheduled but really they haven't done anything of significance since they beat miami back in what 2001. BYU hasn't done anything though (other than have ty detmer win rocket ismails heisman) in what 20 years.
