I almost never disagree with you, but the Heisman Pundit sure had Troy #3 after everybody's favorite and Adrian Peterson. The HP is one of the best at figuring out who has the best chance to win.

Actually, he was #3 on almost everyone's list behind Quinn and Peterson.

OK, poor choice of words; but you guys have made my point for me.
He wasn't the favorite on many lists, preseason; which is how I should have worded it the first time.
The fact that so many had him #3 at the start is proof enough that he was not the front-runner at the start, which was my point.
As far as Todd goes though; while almost no one is predicting a Heisman campaign (not even the best player in his own backfield), it is worth noting that he had one of the highest completion percentages (season) in OSU history. It's not like he's a bum. He's a very good QB who was money, even under pressure, early in the year. After that, he dropped off the way some guys do after a concussion. I'm not saying he had one, so please, no speculation based on me comparing his drop-off to guys who did have one.
As I've said before, I think he wasn't accustomed to playing from behind, and it showed. Now that he's been though the experience; he has a chance to step up. I think there's a good chance that he will.

True, but his completion percentage and TD/INT ratio went to [censored] over the last three games:
35-62 (56.5%), 469 yards, 2 TDs, 5 INTs
Regardless of why his production/efficiency dropped off, if Todd can't regain his mid-season form then it'll be time for a QB change, pronto.

I think it's very simple. He doesn't handle pressure. He doesn't sense it, he doesn't step up in the pocket, he doesn't throw the ball away, and he throws wildly into coverage. As teams slowly figured this out last year, he wasn't reading the blitzes well and he panicked. I don't mean to sound arrogant (because I'm definitely not a football wizard), but I thought it was fairly obvious.

By the way, I'm in no way trying to bash TB. I'm actually a big Boeckman fan, and I think he'll be our starter next year. Just pointing to what I think he needs to improve upon.

Stress to Todd how important the punt is; it seems he forgets we have that option Right or wrong, it just looks that way sometimes
