My take after watching the game: Bellamy is a great prospect. He has amazing athleticism for his size. He chased down Eastmoor's QB on numerous occasions sideline to sideline (their QB is really quick). He can achieve considerable disruption on the line and is obviously a physical force as well. However, there were many times where he played high and a good Eastmoor line drove him down the field. He also doesn't know how to use his hands well yet to shed blockers (who does?). I'll cut him some slack though because he was playing both ways and looked pretty tired. Overall, I am excited about his potential.

CANTON - It is a story that is probably written every year across America.
Small-town team bounces back from a shaky start and goes on to win the first state football championship in school history, knocking off team after team with more size, more speed and bigger reputations.
It never gets old.

Aurora added its personalized chapter to that story this afternoon when it outplayed Columbus Eastmoor Academy in every facet and won the Division III state championship with a 21-10 victory in front of about 11,000 fans in Fawcett Stadium.
Led by a quarterback playing with a torn ACL, a wide receiver with Ivy League aspirations and a defense that surrounded and hounded its opponent, the Greenmen made their collective dreams come true with a near-flawless performance on a perfect day for football.
"It's been a journey, a real journey," quarterback Brendan Gallagher said before racing to the stands to share his joy with his family. "We set our goals high and our mindset was that if you dream it, you can achieve it. Sure enough, that was true, 'cause we dreamed and we sure achieved it. It was a complete team effort, 66 guys."
The Greenmen, who won their final 12 games after a 1-2 start and became the first area school to win a state title in any division since 2004, scored all their points in a span of about eight minutes in the second quarter to wipe out a 3-0 deficit and force Eastmoor (13-2) to play from behind.
"We lost it in that second quarter," said Eastmoor quarterback Malon Johnson, whose quickness and elusiveness would scare any defensive coordinator. "I believe we had two turnovers in that quarter and they scored off both of them."

CANTON: As the members of Aurora High's football team stood on a pedestal in the middle of Fawcett Stadium ? hoisting the Division III State title trophy high above their heads ? no one had to say a word.
It was all written on the eye black pasted underneath senior running back Steven Yung's eyes.
''Make History,'' it said.
Mission accomplished.
The Greenmen, using two costly Columbus Eastmoor Academy turnovers, scored all their points in the second quarter to beat the Warriors 21-10 and win their first Division III state title in school history Saturday.
''I don't think it has hit us yet,'' Yung said. ''Coming into this game, many of us didn't realize what we were getting into. I think we expected to be here because we set our goals so high and right now I just don't know what to feel. We reached the ultimate goal.''
The win wasn't nearly as easy as the final score dictated. The Warriors out-gained the Greenmen 297 yards to 191 and provided plenty of big plays,
but to no avail. Eastmoor Academy may have made more plays, but Aurora made its when they mattered most.
Using a quick-strike offense with a minute remaining in the first half, Aurora delivered fatal blows that the Warriors could never respond to.
Aurora senior Dee Brizzolara followed the Greenmen's first meaningful drive of the game ? a 10-play, 79-yard scoring drive, ending with a three-yard touchdown run by Eric Shultz ? to make the score 14-7 by intercepting an errant pass at the Aurora 45-yard line.

My take: With some work and hard learned lessons from D-1 OL, he could play either side of the ball. As far as athleticism, all you need is the 2nd clip. Right now, I like him better on offense but that motor would translate well on D too.

I would second that. There were times he was getting handled by Eastmoor's guard (all-state selection I believe) but sometimes it was simply poor technique. It's hard to be strong with your opponents shoulder pads in your chest. With his athleticism I like his potential on D personally.

I was at the game and it looked like he was being triple teamed whenever I would watch him. Also, it looked like that tired him out a little bit on long drives.

You have to admire a guy who can play the whole game on both sides of the ball. When I was in HS I was gassed after playing 1 series of DL per half when I had to be out there for offense all the time. From watching the title game he seemed to be better at DL than OL, but that might have just been coaching. I'm sure he has the athletic ability to play either. He seemed to take 2 or 3 guys with him on most plays and ran sideline to sideline a couple times for big tackles.
