Hard-fought road victory helps boost confidence
Players hope team can build on it

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
MADISON, Wis. -- In a span of just more than six minutes, the Ohio State defense went from being the goat to clinching the 20-17 victory over Wisconsin on Saturday night in a crucial Big Ten road game. Whether it proves to be a springboard to bigger things remains to be seen, but OSU linebacker Ross Homan said the win sure beat the feeling the team had after the 35-3 loss on Sept. 13 at Southern California in its previous road game.
"It's huge, personally, because after the USC game, you kind of re-evaluate yourself and from the team standpoint," Homan said. "Coach (Jim) Tressel always stresses that any win on the road in the Big Ten is huge. It boosts our confidence as a team, and hopefully as individuals as well."
That said, the defense gave up the long drive that led to Wisconsin's go-ahead touchdown, the exclamation point coming when running back P.J. Hill lowered his head into Homan and barely crossed the goal line.
"It kind of hurt our confidence a little bit, we kind of felt like we'd let down our offense a little bit," Homan said. "But we bounced back (Terrelle Pryor led the Buckeyes to his winning 11-yard TD run), and on Wisconsin's final possession, Malcolm had a great interception."

Bucks v. Wiscy
Incredibly physical game. OSU got pushed around some and Wiscy got pushed around some. Pryor continued to grow albeit he had some glitches. In the end his abilities helped win in crunch time. Great "Big 10" style game.
Watch out for Illinois and Penn State. Ohio State must get better for them!

BSB$-- Breaking down the offense: Wisconsin
WRs receive the lowest grade on offense with RBs taking the highest.
