Jordan had a great game...but it seemed to me that the Toledo defensive line was a bit gassed. Hall has good moves and good vision, and doesn't tiptoe to the hole. It was great seeing him and TP back there together, they just seemed comfortable.

I don't want to sound hyperbolic, this was just garbage time against Toledo, but I haven't seen an OSU back cut back and spot holes with that kind of speed since Pittman... maybe Clarett. I'd really like to see him get some time against a better opponent, he looked very explosive, he could be a valuable wrinkle in our offense.

Lots of our "token" offer athletes go on to do great things. One instance being Ray Griffin (Archies brother) made a spectacular INT and set up the Buckeyes to beat Michigan in 1975. That play put us into the Rose Bowl. Love these "token athletes". ![]() |

Please give Hall and Saine the bulk of the carries this season!!!!!!!!!

Just in case there was some misinterpretation by some over sensative folks to my joke about him being a token offer, it was just that.. a joke. I was able to follow Hall quite a bit when he was in HS and no way was he ever just a token offer to get Pryor.

Hall and Saine looked good yesterday. Both had great vision and ran hard

I think Boom will continue to get the bulk of the carries. All 3 bring something different to the table. All of them together create a good stable @ the RB position but none are complete backs.
You can't question how hard Boom runs but I still think he runs to contact too much. If he was Beanie's size it would be different but he isn't. Saine still does too much east and west for me. Take your 3 yards and go to the next play. He has the straight-ahead speed but the change of direction agility in the backfield just doesn't seem like its there. How much has he increased weight compared to last year? Although he has shown that the break away speed is back that made us all think he would be a special back @ OSU from his freshman year pre hamstring. Jordan Hall looked really good in the backfield yesterday. It was @ the end of the game and as someone has already stated, Toledo's defense looked gased. I did like how he hit the holes, made the decisive cut and went. Promising future ahead. Give some credit to the back up O-line. There were some good running lanes in the 4th quarter for our backs. What does that mean for Berry? I figured he would be the next in line to shine in Scarlet and Grey. Hotseat or just burried on the depth chart? Good win. Defense played lights out. ![]() ![]() |
