How does this effect Corey Brown and might that allow the staff to use him at WR or even Safety? If James has the hips to play CB then we are really going to end up loaded at the CB spot again. Go Bucks

James Jackson was back working with the receivers. The freshman switched over from WR to CB last week, but today he's back in his original spot.

I talked to James earlier today and he also said he was back at receiver. He is willing to play anywhere to get on the field and thinks he has a good chance to do that returning kicks this year.

yes but to be fair, he offered him as a blocking te. he was told up front that he was way to slow to ever touch the football outside of bulking up enough to play center.

ill defer to people who have actually seen him play not in a low quality youtube vid. but do you think he has the hips for cb? from what little i could tell he was far more athletic than he seems to be given credit for. but i didn't see anything that really stood out that made me think we should try him at cb. if the coaching staff thinks he is worth a look at cb... we all know about his speed, but that says a lot to me about his athleticism.

note: keep in mind i can't read that article so i haven't actually seen taver's comments .

on paper we are actually in pretty good shape wr wise. if posey, sanzo, small, and thomas can live up to their hype... we'll be at a place that we really haven't been at since 05 talent wise. posey and sanzo seem to be on the right track, only thing holding small back is small, and thomas has looked real good in both the return game and in the exceedingly limited action he has gotten. and thats just the guys we got to see in games last year. so yeah, id say the new guys coming in like james are going to have a fight on their hands to see the field. wr, much like tb, is going to be a very fun position to watch this year especially if pryor progresses as i suspect he will.

Seems like a good chance. Every time a report comes out about the return units, kick or punt, there's a few names and Jackson's name is one of them.

We need some fearless guys back there and JJ seems to have the attitude (not to mention the speed).

Has anyone noticed James during the fall practice at all? The last post in his thread is in April. Was he with the team? And was he working with the receivers or the CB? Anybody have any idea?

Yes, he's #15... but he's a true freshman who needs a lot of work on his skills, so he hasn't generated much buzz... and is in the same class as an abnormally large group of impressive freshmen (Mewhort, Hall, Berry, Simon, Klein, etc).

He is a WR...he worked alot in the return game tonight and a bit with the 1v1 drills at WR. I think he is doing fine but can't expect too much out of him as a freshman just yet.

From what I saw he has plenty of speed and looks like he bulked up a bit. I think he's developed a relationship with TWash (both from TSUN) and it looked like Washington was showing him some of the finer points of being a wideout.

Maybe not, he might see some time returning kicks. He came in the spring and that helped him alot...but I think that they are only going to keep 1 freshman wideout from redshirting this season for certain; that being Duron Carter.

Personally, I think both he and Chris Fields redshirt. Just due to the depth that we currently have at wideout. Which is good because I'm excited to see how far that extra year of preparation will do for him once he's ready to play.
