Those two are like night and day IMO. I agree with the comparisons to VY. The Ronald Curry comparisons come from that they dominated two sports, waited until after signing day to commit to a school etc.

VY is a good comparison, but I'm confident TP will have a much better pocket game and far superior throwing mechanics to VY by the time he's at that stage of his career. Every indication I get is TP wants to do well in college, win National Championships, etc. but based on his decision to come to The Ohio State University and the limited comments of his I've read - he's very much a big picture long-term oriented person with big NFL aspirations. It's years away, but I'd like to think TP will be able to be the first to break this athletically gifted spread option QB that's sub-par in the NFL mold. And yes, call me a hater, but I think VY is average in the NFL at best.

Here's how I see Pryor's progression:

2008: Gets some snaps on plays put in just for him. Call it Tebow II or whatever.
2009: Henton starts but Pryor gets a lot of snaps and possibly Tressel implements a true 2-QB system. May supplant Henton as starter.
2010: Henton foregoes his senior year for the NFL and Pryor has the starting job all to himself. With him and Block O in their junior years, we win the national title. He wins Heisman.
2011: Gone.

Does Henton go to the NFL in 2010 because of his abilities or does he go to test the waters because he realizes his playing time will be limited due to TP?

I love Henton, but I don't see him getting enough opportunites by the end of his junior year to show the NFL scouts anything.

2008-Boekman (AH playing in mop up duty in the 4th, a few gadget plays for TP)

2009-If TP is truly a can't miss prospect, there is no way he isn't starting in 09 (AH in mop up duty)

2010-All TP, All the time, AH mop up duty

2011-All TP, All the time (a man can dream)

He can't go to the NFL in 2010 because he'll only be a junior (three years out of high school).
