Here you go: Pryor is good. Ohio State has offered and has a chance. That's it.

if we get pryor, would we use him like florida used tebow his first season. Especially in the big games, like against usc where they wouldnt expect to see pryor, and the next thing they know he is 30 yards down field. lol

Jeannette feels disrespect despite 12-0 record

tribune review

Quote:
Even though Jeannette (12-0) has been ranked No. 1 all season, it hasn't received a lot of credit. Jeannette has scored 674 points this season and scored more than 70 points in three games, including 70 against Aliquippa last week, yet Reitz said people said they haven't played anybody.

A Beaver Valley talk-show host said that before the Aliquippa game, some callers said that Jeannette and Terrelle Pryor were overrated. Pryor's response was a seven-touchdown game and a 331-yard rushing performance against the Quips.

And before the East Allegheny game, some of the Wildcat players tried to intimidate Jeannette by calling them out and talking trash before the game. Jeannette scored 77 points.

"We hear that stuff all year," Reitz said. "I hope people continue to talk; it fires up our players.
I found the online broadcast of the game here!

It wasn't the state championship game. It was the WPIAL Championships.

Quote:
Jeannette and Terrelle Pryor continued its merry march towards another trip to Hershey this afternoon. Pryor rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns, and he completed 5 of 6 passes for 81 yards and two more scores, as No. 1 Jeannette (13-0) punished Beaver Falls, 61-12, in the WPIAL Class AA Championship game at Heinz Field. The 61 points scored by Jeannette was the most points scored in a WPIAL championship game since Bridgeville defeated Trafford, 64-0, in the 1949 Class A game.
It was Jeannette's seventh WPIAL championship in school history and first time it won consecutive titles. Jeannette defeated Greensburg Central Catholic, 24-14, last year's championship game.
The Jayhawks advanced to the PIAA tournament where it will meet the winner of Saturday's District 9 championship game between Karns City and Moniteau at Clarion University.

Hid 61 yard td run was just a qb sneak from under center. He went untouched and blazed by everyone. Simply amazing.

Their last td before the half was set up by a 50-some yard Pryor run.

The announcer said before halftime(and b4 the 50 yard run), that it may be
blastphemy, but he may pick another player for Jeanette's player of the game. Uh, they may have some other good players, but he is so clearly heads and shoulders above everyone else on the field that you could never even think about anyone else.

His passing needs work but his running is unbelievable. He doesn't look like he's running fast, until he blows by everyone on the field. He runs smooth and fast.

He had a bunch of tackles on defense, too. He was playing in the secondary.

I got to go to the game. Pryor was awesome in limited touches. He finished with 166 yards rushing on 12 carries, scoring twice. He also completed 5 of 6 passes for 81 yards and 2 more scores. On defense, he had 2 forced fumbles, tipped a pass that got intercepted (almost caught it one-handed) and he had a vicious hit on one of Beaver Falls' receivers. My Dad isn't easily impressed by HS stars, but he agreed that Pryor was "as advertised."

The only bad thing was that Jeannette crushed Beaver Falls so badly that Pryor didn't get much action in the second half at all. They did all this damage against a team that was giving up 8 points per game.

I was obviously impressed with his elusiveness. He had several plays where you wondered how he escaped. We were actually surprised the one time that he didn't escape and got sacked. He made a few throws after he had been flushed from the pocket and still had his head up. He didn't throw deep more than maybe once, but he showed plenty of arm strength on the one he did throw deep (just barely caught out of bounds). As for his running ability...

For anyone who's still worried about his weight, don't worry. I heard somebody tell him to start eating more, so I'm sure he'll bulk up in time for fall...

I attached a few pics I took. Beat that, Winslow

Got to watch this game, Pryor was amazing.

The halftime piece/interview with him was interesting. They were talking about recruiting and he said something to the effect of: "everywhere I go people are saying to me 'You're going to Ohio State', but I don't know why they think that, they can't read my mind. All of my final teams are even." It isn't an exact quote, but close to what he said. He seemed pretty irritated that everyone thinks he is a lock to go to OSU. That was the vibe that I got, at least.

Pryor-led Jayhawks dominate for Class AA championship victory
All-everything quarterback figures in 4 TDs as team scores most points in final since 1949

Comparisons do Jeannette's Pryor no justice

By Mike Prisuta
TRIBUNE-REVIEW
Saturday, November 24, 2007

Outlined against a blue, gray November sky, the Four Horsemen weren't necessary.
Terrelle Pryor had it covered.

Running the ball and passing it. Forcing a fumble and contributing to an interception (in this instance by failing to actually intercept the ball himself). Helping to force an extra-point attempt wide right and running the show on a two-point conversion.

Pryor did all of that in the first quarter Friday afternoon at Heinz Field, as Jeannette jumped Beaver Falls from the outset and cruised to a 61-12 victory in the WPIAL Class AA championship.

As another ridiculous mismatch played out, it became much easier to anticipate Pryor working similar magic in a similar facility in Columbus, Ohio, Gainesville, Fla., or Morgantown, W.Va.
As Pryor seemingly did what he wanted when he wanted, it became much easier to envision when he might return to Heinz, this time to play on some not-too-distant Sunday.

"Pretty amazing," Beaver Falls head coach Ryan Matsook had said of Pryor prior to Pryor taking the Tigers apart.

Matsook then called Pryor "maybe the best (high school) player ever to play in Western Pennsylvania."

Prisuta: Comparisons do Pryor no justice - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

Well that is certainly a STUPID comment. Nothing to do with visuals??
I am telling you, when he stood up, I was shocked at his physique (or lack thereof). That is why I made my initial comment about putting on weight. He is FAR from thick. No way he weighs 235. IF he does, then he could go to 255 easily.

I stick by my "visuals" not an opinion. When have you seen him in person?

I stick by my "visuals" not an opinion. When have you seen him in person?
Do I have to see Shaq in person to know he's tall? If I saw Terrelle in person, I think that would only skew my POV because he would look even bigger to me(l wouldn't exactly be towering over him ). He could weigh less than 235 lbs like you say(if I had to guess, I'd say he's about 225-230), but the way you describe him you'd think he was a twig. I see a kid who already appears to have roughly the same muscle mass of Vince Young, who himself weighs around 235 lbs, and think putting on 20 lbs of weight would be excessive.

Also, it's clear you've misinterpreted two things I've said:

A) I didn't say visuals don't matter. I was saying from what we've seen of Terrelle, our opinions shouldn't differ this much. I think we both have a pretty good idea of what Terrelle looks like, but our opinions of what he should look like are vastly different.

B) I don't remember saying he is thick. The closest thing I remember saying to that is "his arms look pretty solid". We don't want him looking like a Daunte Culpepper, Jamarcus Russell, Ben Roethlisberger, etc. We want him to keep that agility and speed.

My overall point: He will naturally gain some weight as his body matures but if I were a betting man, I would wager he spends his college career weighing less than 240 lbs.
