10/5 Terrelle says he wants to play football and basketball in college. When considering both sports, tOSU is his favorite school. |

Consider the fact that we'll be NC contenders in both sports over the next few years, I'd say he'd be making the smart move in coming here...

Wow, as I said earlier, getting Terrelle would be a HUGE coupe for both coaches. QB, maybe, WR, possibly. I just want him ont he field!

'08 PA SF Terrelle Pryor (OFFICIAL OFFER)
Although he has been offered for football, there is a good chance he possiblly play both sports in college. For those of you, who follow the basketball program, the possiblity of adding a player of his calibur without giving up a scholarship is intriguing.

I like that he's 6'6' 220 & runs a 4.47 as a QB. He has a huge upside! Terrelle seems to be a very efficient passer.

Unfortunately I don't think that Tressel of Matta would like a QB to play 2 sports. For Tressel he would be at risk of injury in the off season not to mention the fact that he wouldn't be able to practice in the spring with the team. As for Matta I know that he has some great players coming in but it would be hard for any coach to have 19 overall high school player not on the team until at least January.
I think as a QB it would be to much to ask but at WR, or TE it could work very well, ala Ricky Dudley. |

Quarterback Terrelle Pryor rushed for two first-half scores and passed for another. Pryor sandwiched a 32-yard scoring strike to Davonte Shannon in the second quarter around two short runs. |

I think Pryor could work out for both sports during the first year.
During Pryor's first year under Tressel, Pryor would likely be 4th string behind Boeckman, Schoenhoft & Henton. Matta will have plenty of wings in '08 with Cook, Lighty, Turner... and a good shot at Buford & Roe in that class. Matta would probably only need 'role player' minutes from Pryor, which is a heck of a luxury. |

I really want this kid. That whole wanting to play both sports and being the QB could hurt his focus. Being a college QB as we have recently seen with Troy can take up all your free time...we'll see. I like him as a diverse prospect regardless.

10/13/06 From the Pitt site...Pryor is a former commit to the Pitt basketball team. Pitt, Penn State, Ohio State and Clemson have offered Pryor for both basketball and football. He is going to the Penn State/Michigan game this weekend. We seem to be in awfully good shape with Pryor at this point... |

The only question I have is how hard would it be for a QB to also play bball. Look at what Smith has done with being in the filmroom in the whole offseason and that is real important from the QB.
It wouldnt be a huge problem his first couple years with a redshirt and then being behind guys like Henton and Robbie but down the road it could become a problem. |
