(Where you say he will be the #2 RB). The rest of this call and response you have in this thread is a lot of back pedaling ("no I never did say RB" 'cept you did) - coupled with re-affirmation of that from which you are trying to back pedal away from -- like the following.

If you want to recant your prior testimony it helps if you don't simultaneously bless the premise of Pryor taking on a RB role.

NFBuck has presented his point of view. Others have done the same. Collective opinion, which I also hold, is that Pryor will get in under center - be used someone like Tebow, but with a greater threat to pass - so maybe used like that from further out. But, here is the distinction, if he runs, he isn't a RB, he will get his snaps from under center - not at the expense of Wells, Wells, Saine, Herron or others.

Don't know if it's been posted yet, but I saw a commercial on FoxSports Ohio that said there's a special on Terrelle. I believe it said tues. at ten. It's called "Under the Lights" or something.

sandgk, i know what you are trying to say. My point is that Pryor will be given chances to run the football without taking the snap from the center, and lined up somewhere besides the RB spot. I don't envision Boeckman/Henton losing any pt at the QB spot, and I certainly don't envision Chris Wells losing any pt at RB. That's all I'm trying to say. Isn't possible for the coaching staff to design plays for Pryor to take the hand off from Henton with Wells lined up in the backfield? I think so. And that's it my man.

Here's my plan to get him on the field:

Have him put on about 20 - 30 lbs of mussle and line him up at tight end. Ohio State hasn't had a really great tight end since John Frank.

1) He has to have great hands (i.e. handles the ball well in both football and basketball).

2) At 4.4 seconds in the 40, linebackers couldn't keep up with him or let alone catch him in the open field.

3) At 260 - 270 lbs. and 6' 6", very few (if any) DB's could tackle him one-on-one or out jump him for the ball.

He would be all-world there.

JUST KIDDING, I know he is the "real deal" at QB; and is considered OSU's QB of the future!!!

Terrelle Pryor isn't ready to end his high school athletic career just yet.

After dazzling the masses in football and basketball, Pryor has decided to try a new trick.

Track.

Pryor, a senior at Jeannette, said this week he will run the 200-meter dash for the Jeannette track team. Seriously.

"Why not?" Pryor said. "It's just something to do. Maybe another championship I can win."

This is actually not a new trick for Pryor. He ran on Jeannette's track team for part of his freshman year but quit near the end of the season, and one of the reasons was AAU basketball. At the time, he had one of the best 200 times in WPIAL Class AA at 22.7 seconds.

Pryor, who has signed with Ohio State to play quarterback, said he plans to run in a few meets with Jeannette this spring and then at the WPIAL qualifier in May. The WPIAL AA championships are May 13 and the PIAA championships May 23-24. Pryor will leave for Ohio State in mid-June.

Pryor said he works regularly on running.

"I run with parachutes on my back on our football field," Pryor said.

The 200 would seem to be a good event for Pryor. He won't have to work that much on starts because a good start is not as important in the 200 as the 100.

Plus, Pryor's long strides (he's 6 feet 6) and strength are perfect for the 200. His strength would be big in the final 100 meters.

Heck, he'd probably be an excellent long jumper, too.

The 400 might be his best fit, but that is a grueling event and Pryor knows it.

There are four problems with getting TP on the field:

#1 - Boeckman, Henton and Bauserman
#2 - Beanie, Mo, Saine, and Boom
#3 - Nicol, Ballard and Smith
#4 - Robiskie, Hartline, Small, Sanzenbacher, and on and on.

Point being that we do not have a single position of need or a single position where we do not have talented and experienced depth. Fact is, the most shallow position in terms of said experienced depth is QB.

I think this is the main point about TP. He's going to have the luxury of being able to learn the QB position without being thrown out there as a gimmick.

We simply don't need him on the field...of course we'd all love to see him out there and he is going to be a beast. But JT knows what he's got and he's not going to waste him.

Of course JT will be putting in a little something special for TP from day 1 I'm sure...just in case.

In order to get Pryor on the field, you're obviously suggesting that he start off at fullback.
