Uh, this just proves what morons those two are. If Pryor got 75 snaps, that would mean he started and played the entire game (we had a grand total of 74 offensive plays last week). I could see a mix of 35/25/15 for TB/TP/JB...

I'm not saying that the compliments are a smokescreen. However, JT likes to keep things in house. We all know that. There is no way he would be talking Terrelle up this much unless he has a plan.

Show Terrelle early and often against YSU and Ohio. Talk up his progress and let the Trojans spend time preparing for a running QB.

Then let Todd dissect the Trojan defense. I just don't see JT letting a true freshman take over the reins in that environment when we have a quarterback as talented as Todd on the roster. That doesn't mean that Terrelle can't be useful, though. It might be similar to the Henton rumors that popped up around the LSU game.

Mark May said Terrelle would receive 20% of the snaps. Lou Holtz said he should receive all of them.

Lou Holtz has a serious man-crush on TP. They can be talking about Beanie, Tressel, etc. but it will always come back to TP. I haven't even seen any Buckeye fans with that kind of obsession. It's pretty unhealthy really.

Columbus- USC will be watching today, pre conceptions about Ohio State's quarterback situation already in place. Senior Todd Boeckman does one thing, freshman Terrelle Pryor another.

"When Pryor's in, it's runs for him and quarterback draws," USC middle linebacker Rey Maualuga told the Los Angeles Times. "We're going to have a big emphasis about which quarterback is in."

For Pryor to have his greatest effect on the Trojans in seven days as a complement to Boeckman, he's going to have to be more than a runner. Today against Ohio is the freshman's chance to work on diversifying, considering none of the six passes he attempted against Youngstown State traveled more than 14 yards through the air.

"I think he just made some reads. I think he was more interested in taking the easy throw than making a mistake," tight end Rory Nicol said, "and there's nothing wrong with that."

If I'm USC and TP is in I bring everything and go get him. Chances are he won't be able to make a read and get sacked. Make him prove he can pass effectively.

And if I'm tOSU I know that would be one of the Defensive schemes/strategies and I would have at least two plans to circumvent and would have plenty of practice snaps practicing just that.

You're dead right that that will happen if other plans don't work. The other obvious approach is to spy both beanie and Terrelle and man up, making him beat you with his arm and mind (which I don't think will work as I think Terelle has a pretty solid head on his shoulders and an under rated arm).

All that being said, if Terrelle is in on more than 20% of the snaps, I would be suprised. This is Todd's team, Terrelle will get his chance at excellence down the road.

Hum, in hindsight it would appear that Pryor has excellent potential but has not really earned Tressels keys to the car when the game is on the line.

TB is the man when it counts.

The problem with TP right now is he doesnt have enough patience. He doesnt wait for anyone to get open and he just tucks and runs, thats normal for a freshman. However isnt going to be effective against USC. They will presser him and have a spy of 2 watching him all the time. I just hope the Tressel open up's the play book and throws everything at them including the kitchen sink.

It's a lot like Troy when he took over the starting position. He would wait, but would do so for only a short period of time then just take off. He will learn that is not the only way of doing things, and he will develop into a pass first QB. It will also help when he starts to do so (as in passing first then run), he will gain more trust with the receivers and will "mesh" with them
